maybe we're just too close to Cleveland? Or was it meant to be a Canadian Hall of Fame? Please, I cant take anymore of The Guess Who! The Hard Rock Cafe has that theme covered too!

Why? Just out of curiosity, that is. I mean, Van's indie contributions are modest, to say the least, and between Montreal and TO it's a wash--especially since a number of the big acts have members living in both cities.

The last I heard (last summer) was that it was / is supposed to go into the Sony Centre (formerly Hummingbird Centre)...no update since.

Indie just means that the artists are independent of major record labels.
Toronto and Montreal have been hotbeds for upcoming musicians for decades.

its true, since they are dying a slow death in the digital age. There are literally millions of performers out there in every genre imaginable on thousands of independant record labels and its a joy to discover new music from all over the world. Why would anyone want to be mainstream? The disintegration of the establshed music industry is one of the first steps in re-ordering our society from the ground up, so buy indie!
