New pre-app in Burlington for "a 25-storey mixed use building with approximately 284 residential units, including a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units." Not too much other information at the moment since it's a pre application.
The site is currently two 2-storey commercial buildings, both old houses, one with an addition. It's got a large auto centre with a used dealership, rental places, and multiple garages on one side, a very busy rail corridor and future Metrolinx yard behind it, and a small commercial/industrial parcel on the other side where realistically nothing major can be built. It's roughly a 1.1km walk to the north entrance of Burlington GO. Although there is no bus route on this part of Plains Road, it's only about 250 metres to Brant St, which has 3 bus lines, all of which stop at the train station.
