PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE

Wednesday, June 7, 2006
7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Brampton City Hall

The Public Information Centre is your opportunity to provide input on proposed transit service options that will address the following objectives:

• Improve System Effectiveness
• Address Under-serviced Transit Corridors
• Provide Service to New Growth Areas
• Improve Integration with GTA Transit Systems
• Improve Internal Transfer Connections

Ask questions and discuss proposed plans with Brampton Transit staff.

Put this info in transit.toronto, Mississauga, BT and York Region news groups for Yahoo.

I would be nice to see both MT 19 and BT 2 combine running from Port Credit GO Station to Bovarid Blvd and offering more service.

Why only Bovaird? Run it up to the city limits at Mayfield Rd, or maybe even Valleywood.

Better yet, combine the 2 systems into "Peel Region Transit."

Maybe they are willing to take suggestions on how to improve Brampton for transit.

Then again, it's too late.

Better yet, combine the 2 systems into "Peel Region Transit."

Unless Brampton is willing to have an LRT on Main St, 19 and 2 will have to be as they are now.

BT 2 will be a hard sell for LRT's due to ridership. Then,it will help to push transit in the first place.

The farmer market will have to be relocated off Main St if LRT's are use.

Why only Bovaird? Run it up to the city limits at Mayfield Rd, or maybe even Valleywood.

Have no issues with this. Bovarid would be a connecting point for an east-west LRT line connecting with YRT line along 16th Ave.

Even if PEEL Transit existed, the 2 cities would still be fighting each other and one reason the GTTA should run this route.
