All four westbound collectors lanes of Highway 401 at the Don Valley Parkway are expected to be closed into afternoon rush hour after a man's body was discovered at the side of the road.
The man was driving westbound in a pickup truck last night when he hit a guardrail, said OPP Sgt. Cam Wooley. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his vehicle, coming to rest behind a pillar. The car continued driverless and was later found damaged and abandoned at the side of the road.
The body was hidden from most drivers' views and was discovered only a few hours ago, said Wooley.
The highway had been closed to Kennedy Rd. and is not expected to re-open until 6 p.m.
