John Lorinc wrote an interesting article in the Globe about Orthodox Jews in the area migrating to New Jersey. Old World religious values in conflict with modern suburbia. I would think they could just move further up Bathurst to say Thornhill where there is also a big Orthodox community.

I am Jewish and was raised Orthodox (not currently the least bit religious anymore though), however I am seriously bothered by the insular nature of many members of the Jewish community, even amongst itself. Bathurst and Lawrence is not the only inhabitable part of Toronto, if it's too pricey then move a block away for god sake.

Yes but in an interesting way ... they income level of the general area is really reflected by the type of shops that exist on those stretches.
It's similar on St.Clair West in some ways.
