Im trying to help my buddy to fill a position urgently, hence why im hitting some public toronto forums.
a couple of things about it:
1) location: markham (404 and hwy 7)
2) office hours are 8:30 to 5:30.
3 years in a translating agency or a freelance translator as long as you are aggressive enough to pick up on project coordination. You will be doing project coordination with translation and proof reading. Must have computer skills. Some translation software is an asset.
Do NOT want:
Passive translators
Project managers who cannot do hands on translation
Candidates who have done in house translation i.e. someone who happens to be in a company and knows French and does the occasional translation of an email here and there.
