This area is slowly getter better...this is replacing a long since closed motel. The old Sheridan car dealership, which is just west of this site, is being redeveloped as well.

Went by last week. Didn't get a chance to take photos but excavation has reached about 1 storey below grade. There were no workers on machinery present. This one seems to be taking a while.

Excavation on the subject lands is nearing completion. The development team has received offers to purchase the subject lands. During the offer review period (up to 60 days) no additional working capital will be advanced for construction purposes.

So Dunsire and Fortress, who have presumably sold the townhomes, are now stopping construction while they consider selling everything to another developer? Depending on the outcome, the purchasers either take a two-month delay on the delivery of their homes, or get their deposits back and have to start looking for a new townhome. Buying here becomes more a roll of the dice.

Purchasers have been informed that the Anchors sites will not move forward under the current plans, and their deposits will be returned. Fortress has acquired full control of the project from the current operating partner, and plans to relaunch sales, and complete construction of the two townhouse developments.

The site is fully excavated and secured as Fortress helms a design revamp in order to achieve maximum design and construction efficiencies. The next few months will see the assembly of new project team and an updated brand identity showcasing a modern townhouse aesthetic.

In the next few months, Fortress will take the reign on a re-design of the site layout in an effort to achieve maximum design and construction efficiencies. A new consultant team will be assembled during this phase to explore new possibilities in order to improve the saleable Gross Floor Area.

I wonder how much bigger they'll need to make it to make pissing off all the original purchasers feel worthwhile, and whether Mississauga will allow that kind of density.
