yes i know, i don't like it either. the building is unsalvageable from a design perspective because of the unconventional way it was built.
i just thought it was interesting the hoops that they are having to go through to try to make something interesting--all for nought.

I don't know why this building was so vilified. I enjoy Stone's work (even FCP), and thought 2 Columbus Circle neatly bookended his General Motors building on the other side of the park. I'm not too crazy about the redo, either.

Well, you might also try to consider why GM was so vilified, as well...
