in the NRU this week, going to the Vaughan DRP. Developer is Sorbara Group.

A sign for the project is up in front of the current plaza sitting on the site (the plaza will not be missed, the only things that were of interest was a tattoo parlour and a restaurant that served terrible Vietnamese food). This will give VMC a very interesting skyline in the future with both sides of the 400 being flanked by condo buildings as there is also a much bigger condo project being proposed at the northwest corner of Highway 400 and Highway 7.

Along with the sign, there are some images on condonow of the project. The first one is at the street level on Weston road facing towards the podiums and pedestrian plaza. The second is of the pedestrian plaza itself. The third is an image of the layout of, what appears to be, the ground level. The final image is the same image of the project that appears on the sign.

Interesting. With this and the SmartCentres site adjacent to the 400, the only site left untouched in this "super-block" is the Home Depot.
 
I love the punctured windows in these buildings. They're simple but effective looking and are going to be a great addition to the area if they get developed !
 
How has smartcenters/ centrecourt, Menkes been able to put up so many towers in the area and yet this project takes so long to get off the ground?
