Well this is sad, that office building was a little historical gem. While i'm not surprised this is happening because of that building's low utilization rates, in my opinion this really should've been historically designated.
But since that wasnt done, that made it a whole lot easier for this to happen; the re-designation of the entire site (including the old L'Oreal HQ office building, but excluding the TD Banking Branch) to mixed-use from Employment Land. I had no idea this even went ahead, but nevertheless more condos/rentals are coming to the immediate area in the future. Not that I expect that a full 1:1 replacement of office space to occur here at all, but it's cute that the city put it in:
