There are a pair of new fieldhouses — basically glorified change room facilities — being built at Centennial Park as part of Toronto's FIFA hosting duties. The larger facility is to be just south of Centennial Park Stadium on the east side of the park, and the smaller one on the west side, based on the east side having more practice fields. The designs for these were submitted to the City in November for Site Plan Approval.

There are two renderings of the east facility, each the same other than the roof treatment. We've popped the treatment that was rendered in the SPA submission in at the top of the database file (linked above) while the other rendering, below, comes from Architect Cherie Ng's website.

Great ! I am thinking that the circle to the north of the West Pavillion is a cricket pitch.

Indeed, if you zoom in, there are field markings for cricket, soccer/football and possibly Aussie Rules Football and/or rugby

There were reports last month that one of these facilities were getting chopped from the plan (more than likely the west fieldhouse - looking at the plans). Sunnybrook isn't even getting a facility anymore.
