It's cutely rendered, but this is going to look terrible. Look a bit more closely at the images posted above. It's just a morass of grey-blue spandrel. Just lazy garbage. Hugely prominent corner where this will be one of the only tall buildings. Way to go everyone.

Please let that not all be grey spandrel?

I feel like they're making it deliberately hard to tell what's supposed to be vision glass and what's supposed to be grey spandrel. Like are those bluish corner panels spandrel or vision glass? If they're vision glass, why do they look the exact same as the panel labelled spandrel?

I find that's often the case. Spandrel is rendered very carefully as to minimize its appearance, mullions too. Then bam, that glazing goes up in reality and you start to feel your lunch coming back up.

Does that make 4 cranes up for this site in total?
If you want an overview of the whole site that 980 Dufferin is a part of, you can click on the database file box at the top of the thread pages, and as it says "sub-project" on it, when the page opens, you'll see another box for the master project file. Click on that one, and it will show you all the attached sub-projects, and which ones have (how many) cranes at the moment!

…and yup, there are five on the combined site at the moment!

This is still kind of a stinker but the brick on the tower and stone at grade is a substantial improvement.

Have we ever seen something go from metal panel to brick before? Usually it’s the other way around lol
