It's too bad and kind of strange that they don't appear to be making storefronts here. This is Bloor St. right at a major transit connectivity hub!

This project seems like a step backwards without storefronts, but the City will surely allow commercial uses like professional offices if the owners request it.

That matte black brick (I think it's from Brampton Brick) continues to be one of my least favourite material choices popping up around the city. These look pretty nice though.

Without the sheen of ironspot, yup, black bricks are dreary. I wish there was a little more mixing of brick colours in projects… but to make sure that bricklayers were getting each in a spot to match a design, the costs would rise quite a bit.
