Yes, the power supply connection would have allowed the ventilation system to begin testing, I think they talked about this at that September meeting or at least the previous Metrolinx meeting. IIRC They said that they had reached an important milestone. They then talked about the ventilation...

Great catch Northern Light, I'm trying figure out what "portal doors" are. Possibly the underground entries to the Eglinton station from say the Yonge Eglinton Centre. I've worked with Toronto Hydro in the past, they are quick once they get out there. This report is post dated at 7th December...

Not sure but I think they talked about that foundation issue at the last meeting and it was resolved, for a while actually. A bit to my surprise because Metrolinx held on to it for a while. I think they are adopting a very strict handover position where the history of performance has reduced...

I would have to agree about the "jumbotrons". I really like this building, it's spectacular to me, but these have certainly put a damper on it. Surely green lights are enough. They could have designed it in such a way as to plot out the logo in the lighting from time to time. I'll bet the...

I visited yesterday with my partner, I thought it was cool and refreshing to see such a thing open in Toronto. Sure it's not close to being ready but a breath of fresh air to walk through a car free, open air environment with nice finishes and lighting. Clearly, this will become more appealing...

I really like this project, feel like I've said this before what a great spot to live in the city in a low-rise for sports, arts, entertainment, shopping at The Well, Queen St, transit etc. I love the design, Feel like this is just going to be just one of those desirable places.

Could it be that they preserved some of the rare species in a temporary greenhouse or somewhere else, only to restore as much as possible after. I remember reading something similar for the elevated portion of Crosstown West through the flats there. Actually they go as far to say that there was...

Is this missed because there are conflicting standards document on the projects or were they simply published incorrectly by the vendors? I'm sure from my own experiences that this is not simple as just not inspecting properly. Don't they have a whole system than runs the line and sets the...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I watched some of this as well. It was when they said station construction will not begin until 2027 I kinda got downhearted and tuned out to be honest. There didn't seem to be a lot of public interest or opposition in it. Seems like they are being very liberal with schedule expectations.

They're all pretty cool bridges. I like the Eye. It seems so unobtrusive while providing some nice features and I like the finishes. To me a bridge should be there but not there so to speak. This one looks sleek but still is interesting. NDA is nice but looks a little narrow.

At this point, from what I can see, I'd be stunned if they aren't operating by the summer at the latest. All the excuses are gone. All the major deficiencies we are aware of have been fixed, a while back. The water ingress has been solved according to reports. The list of deficiencies could...

Nice summary by voilan above. My general take for what its worth. Mr Verster was being a little too defensive initially but he softened up towards the end. I think that the project is close but anytime there is a software issue, there could be alarm bells going off on timelines. The physical...

The problem for me is that Metrolinx as this point should be giving a timeline with monthly updates where by the public at large can at least understand what the hold up is. I mean the thing is built. This should be a positive exciting time and with their silence they are creating such a...

I was walking though the site on Sunday and was impressed with the visuals. I think there are a bunch of openings coming up in November. Although I'm not sure the main areas will be all done by then. I have no idea why I didn't take any pictures!

Was at Sloane last week, chatted with a. worker who confirms the train the trainer program, things are going pretty well and just trying to iron out a few bugs for training and commissioning. Very good sign though to see Crosslinx and TTC employees working together. Make of that what you will...
