Because residential buildings are constructed for … residents, not for aesthetes. Most people want to have immediate personal outdoor space, as the idea of essentially living in an office tower is not particularly appealing.

I'm not talking about members of the public: I'm talking about residents of the building.

So the people at the top, who already enjoy amazing views, are the only ones allowed access to essentially the same views from the observation deck. What kind of crass snobism is this?

What is this anonymous indoor amenity space being added? Is it an observation deck, as was announced for SkyTower? If so, why not just say that?
