    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

Last replay on this. But just wanted to share what can be done when towns are built for people not just cars. I would recommend this video on the change that can be accomplished with some vision. Video by Road Guy Rob

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

So we should get ride of sidewalks too, because it's a was of energy. Better to just focus on driving right, the most expensive mode of transportation. I like that. Rual communities should have no options to move around. Also why spend millions connecting roads to communities either, waste of...

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

So just like the sidewalk in the picture the snow can be removed. And it's not about cyclists utopian. It's about safe options for mobility. Just how sidewalks are built standard so people can walk, same should be for safe bike lanes. People will drive of course, but provide oppertunties for...

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

Small and easy to get around. Sounds perfect for biking, but new bike lanes are illegal in ontario, so drive baby drive.

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

looking at the map, just shows how much farmland and wetlands and creeks will be demolished. Once you put the land use filter on, it gets worse. everything south of the highway will be single family homes and warehouses. Like if the area around the highway was protected and the urban boundary...

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

See think maybe Mccowan Rd with a small indoor path bridgeto the rail line. You have line 2 and line 4 terminate there plus have room for a park and ride. Usually cities have a station on the outskirts for suburban catchment.

    VIA Rail

yes but VIA consistently misses their assigned blocks and then it cascades into delays over an hour. The freight companies have these blocks assigned to VIA, VIA just fails to travel through them at the assigned time. For example travelled Toronto to London last year. The train departed 10 mins...

    VIA Rail

I can confirm it's not continuous welded rail (Ottawa to Brockville), as i rode the train and saw the tracks (dual tracked areas). The ride quality was poor and the train broke down in Brockville as it was a piece of trash. Train 47 Ottawa to Toronto (Oct 27 1220 hrs departure train). Now the...

    VIA Rail

Yes it was just so shocking. I visited Poland last month. Prior to that I was there 10 years ago. The rail investment was night and day. All intercity trains had been upgraded to modern stock. The railways have been rebuild with welded rail and concrete ties. The trains ran a consistent 160km/h...

    VIA Rail

I took via for the first time in a while. Omg straight trash, the trains are falling apart, the seats I booked were much different from the seat layout on the selection map. This was on ottawa to Toronto corridor. Just needed to express how bad the trains are. Oh and delayed of course. Anyone...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

10 km/h passing all switches including straight movements.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Drove down Finch today, all the switches have 10 km/h Turnout signs. They look like posters the TTC installed themselves. So looks like all the streetcar slow zones will be applied to Finch.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I agree, but I seems that for east Harbour the canopy can be added after the fact as the structural supports are placed outside the main station structure.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

see i completely agree. I think the abysmal traffic signal implementation in toronto is the number one reason for congestion. Most of them are programmed to stop traffic and not for logical traffic flow. This flow includes cyclists and transit. For example the lead pedestrian signals where...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

If your wayfinding system relies on people asking directions, there is a big issue.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

320 Yonge blue night bus or 305 Dundas Streetcar. That's the homeless shelter.

    Durham Region Transit / Pulse

Metrolinx deleted their roll plans for the DSBRT. Did anyone download them or have a copy?

    Toronto Bloor–Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Yes i agree, if they soil conditions under the 401 are an issue, i can only imagen what the soil conditions under highland creek are. They should twin bore north to the 401 and bridge over the creek. But i think Metrolinx is allergic to accountability and flexibility.

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

I would respectfully disagree for the following reasons. 1. With 2WAD go service, it changes the nature of the Milton corridor from rush hour commuter for dt officer workers into a transit line that is used for a variety of different trips to different destinations. I understand most trips...
