    4 years ? May be, if all possible corners are cut just to get the first building ready. Or builders may put shovels into ground ... and leave them there for long time. My guess, 5-6 years for the first building, 12-15 years for the whole block.

    So many East Mall projects ( # 900, 600, 580 ) were proposed, and went nowhere. Same on the West Mall. Increased population will force TTC to improve bus service there. Currently, buses run half-empty with 20 min interval. Let's pray Gods of Development for a breakthrough.

    People wouldn't come without retail network. Retail needs a lot of people. Classic chicken and egg dilemma. It will be solved if all West Mall projects from Burnhamthorpe to Dundas are built. Looks like Councilor Holiday is not anti-development. Keep the fingers crossed.
