Another unfortunate case of unrealistic renderings, I worry that the units might feel very dark. In the renderings they had these large, airy bricks for those facade bits, but the pics that Gairloch release today tell a different (and cheaper) story..

Just got my occupancy date, November 30th for 8th floor! Definitely a lot sooner than expected, hope the same for everyone else in here!

I haven't heard yet, but was expecting to sometime this week based on the earlier comparisons of PDI dates with the 5th floor units. Was also told during my PDI that they are focusing on closing the first 5 floors before moving up the building, so there might be a slight delay.

Quick update for others.. I received my PDI notice over the weekend for October 29th (8th floor). I got notified 12 days before the PDI and they have progressed 3 floors since the last date posted in here (October 20th - 5th floor). Hope this helps.

Has anyone else above floor 5 received a PDI date yet?

I would imagine with 35 floors, there would probably be a difference of a few months between occupying floor 1 and 35. But I could be wrong.

Not sure where all the trees in the render come from.. that intersection is just barren concrete on all sides lol but I do love the creativity!

Ouch, look at those maintenance fees. $0.85/ft for a brand new condo, not including the parking and locker fees.

I live around the corner and it's looked like work on Playground has all but stopped the last few weeks, with all the focus on Garrison Point. I guess they're rushing to get those units occupied on time. Not sure if this was baked into Playground's revised occupancy dates, but I wouldn't be...

Does anyone know what to expect with the common elements during occupancy? I'm curious if the gym or pool would be ready during this period, or if this comes after all the units are occupied.

Nothing says "budget build" like that light grey colour of spandrel. It's too bad those rental buildings got the shaft, the original HP plans were very nice.
