I have some more bad news for Garrison Point owners. A further unavoidable delay was issued for COVID19 and the developers are not in a position to provide any definitive revised occupancy dates. They will not be able to do so until COVID19 is no longer deemed a pandemic.

i was under the impression that we dont get compensated for "Unavoidable delays", which the water main issue was considered one. This would be wonderful if true though. fingers crossed

I agree with you here about additional delays. We're all being told to stay home, services and businesses are running on bare minimum. The logistics of moving hundreds of people in to a building while this is going on just seems absolutely daunting at the moment.

got this update today So thats that, however they went ahead to say due to COVID19 there will be further delays, but the builder is in the process of sending out final occupancy notices.

One could argue that these delays occurred before COVID was deemed a pandemic.... but I’m no lawyer.

Our Realtor reached out.. He says we are entitled to delayed occupancy compensation from Tarion. HAs anyone else heard the same thing? Im not sure how/why, but I hope its true. We'll follow up with the lawyers.

Well, it happened. We've received notice that our unit will not be ready for March 13 and new occupancy date "has not yet been established" We've already given notice to vacate our rental by the end of March. Guess its time to start looking into AirBNB's..
