Awesome, if only for a convenient place to recycle the capsules. With the steady disappearance of the Canada Post mailboxes, it's been a lot harder to find somewhere to return them!

    Woodbine Centre

Globe article on the owner of Woodbine and other properties in default https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/article-romspen-private-mortgage-courts/ Probably paywalled but here's the opening and pretty much everything that's relevant to Woodbine

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Yeah agreed they're not the best times, but I'm on the one that currently arrives at 7:30am and it's pretty full (mostly all 4 seats in a group occupied) so that one at least makes a bit of sense. 5:47pm might be on the tail end of rush hour.

Your wish is granted! 2 eastbound and 2 westbound express trips from/to Clarkson starting Oct 31.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

I started my previous job and the twice daily trek through Union Station in early 2011. After a few years of walking through the never ending construction (first TTC, then GO), I joked with my colleagues that I'd probably get fired or retire before it was finished (although at the time it was...

Probably also because a lot of office workers aren't expected to go back into the office until 2021. Although Jan 2021 is probably optimistic for that.

    Toronto PATH Retail

Just curious what it's like in the path these days. I haven't been downtown for over 2 months now. Are all the stores treated like an enclosed mall and closed? How much of the food courts are open? How's the foot traffic compared to the pre-covid crowds? According to my employer I can WFH...

Careful what you wish for, because that one overriding authority probably would be Metrolinx.

Considering the state of retail now vs 10 years ago when this was conceived, I would be shocked if less than half of the bay retail level was food related.

Bit of a better angle. You can see there will be room on both sides of the grey pillar to walk on the upper pathway.

How much is that conveyor belt in the window?

Here’s that west corridor. Finished the flooring I guess?

I was just about to post some similar pics. It’s a bit hard to make out from this angle but that upper pathway is a lot wider than it seems. I remember that was some fretting about it a while ago in this thread.

    Toronto PATH Retail

Pandora in RBC Plaza is papered up with a "failure to conduct business properly" or something like that notice on the door. It always seemed popular to me, kind of surprised they closed up so suddenly.

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

The crane is Hook, the bulldozer is Bonecrusher, the loader is Scrapper, the power shovel is Scavenger.

PATH Network Expansion (various, various, various)

They went and took something that was unique, and not that outdated (in my opinion) and half-assed it (only floors and ceilings renovated to white, walls remain the same) into something sterile and forgettable. It's not quite finished yet so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but from the...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Sstill delays on the LSW line this morning, not as bad as yesterday though. If I'm reading the schedule right, it looks like they've reduced westbound LSW service in the PM rush? Use to be a 16:43 (local), 16:47 (express) and 17:02 (express). Now there is only a 16:40 (local) and 17:000...

    Square One Shopping Centre

Can't remember where I found this pic (might have been this forum) but if anyone else has stuff from a similar era I'd love to see it as well. Have some great memories of being there as a kid..

GO Transit: Union Station Shed Replacement & Track Upgrades (Zeidler)

It sure takes a lot longer to get off platform 24 in the morning rush than it did on other platforms.. hopefully there is still something blocked at the moment.
