    Toronto Parc Nuvo at Essex | ?m | 36s | Graziani + Corazza

Not a fan of the spandrel overkill either, but the clearly delineated vertical columns make this tower look better than the other Nuvo buildings.

Evolution Condos (Averton Homes) - Real Estate -

Just be grateful you didn't buy in a building like the L Tower downtown. A friend of mine bought a unit there at the same time as I did in a different condo development. I moved in three years ago, he's still waiting. Most condo projects take longer to complete than planned. If you can't...

    Toronto The High Park | 37.79m | 11s | North Drive | BDP Quadrangle

And how many of those have plans for redevelopment? Hint: none that I'm aware of. This is a fair point, though I'd have thought a few more two bed units for DINK's or empty nesters looking for a quieter lifestyle than downtown would have sold well in this neighbourhood.

Evolution Condos (Averton Homes) - Real Estate -

Hint: You're not the first buyer to believe a developer's promises, and this is not the first project to run late. If you can't deal with delays, then perhaps you ought to avoid new construction.

    Toronto The High Park | 37.79m | 11s | North Drive | BDP Quadrangle

As crystal_junkie noted, this is fear mongering. It would take a long time before any developers could acquire sufficient lots for this to happen. Transit stations need a critical mass of nearby users to be economically viable. Granted, this isn't a risk at High Park, but increasing density...

Forum email being used for condo spam?

Seems "toronto-condos dot org" has been busy sending out spam emails via the forum. I've now disabled the ability for other members to send email to me, but figured others on the board may want a heads up. A UT URL in the email indicates it's this user...

    Toronto Westwood Condominiums | ?m | 6s | Alterra | Richmond Architects

Community consultation has been scheduled for September 29th: http://app.toronto.ca/tmmis/viewAgendaItemHistory.do?item=2011.EY9.9. Seems the project was originally meant to be a Seniors residence. Parking will be provided by a two-storey parking structure over the existing garage, and behind...

    Toronto Westwood Condominiums | ?m | 6s | Alterra | Richmond Architects

The lack of foot traffic on this street would doom any retail, and most residents of the condo would not appreciate living above light industrial.

New Urban Toronto - Post Your Comments Here

I was no fan of the fisher price design previously used here (and provided comments on why), but light blue text on a light grey background? Someone needs to go back to design school.

    Toronto One Old Mill & Two Old Mill | ?m | 12s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

All but one of the floor plans on the tridel site are two bedroom and up. Is that truly representative of the unit mix?

    Mississauga Widesuites Condominiums | ?m | 35s | Conservatory Group | Richmond Architects

I was thinking those inaccessible fake balconies are going to result in a pile of crap collected behind them after a few years.

    Dwell City Towns (427 & Rathburn, Menkes, ?s, ?) (was Sell-Off Condos)

I'm going to suggest those with a beef against this developer look at how buyers in another development are dealing with poor communication. Hint: they're not whining about poor investment returns, or resorting to childish name calling. Though I do notice UD recommending that development as a...

    theory behind southern exposure

Yes, especially as a SW unit will get more light through the latter half of the day when you're more likely to be at home.

    Dwell City Towns (427 & Rathburn, Menkes, ?s, ?) (was Sell-Off Condos)

Perhaps you ought to re-read your quoted post where you complained about the poor return on investment. The poor service claim was made by you after the fact. Regardless, the potential failure of a development is why prices for pre-construction are lower than for built and registered...

    Dwell City Towns (427 & Rathburn, Menkes, ?s, ?) (was Sell-Off Condos)

So, you were blinded by the "good deal"? Doesn't make it right, but poor customer service is part of the risk of buying pre-construction. Anyone who can't deal with that should probably reconsider their "investment" choices.

    Dwell City Towns (427 & Rathburn, Menkes, ?s, ?) (was Sell-Off Condos)

So, why didn't you? Buying pre-construction is always a risky endeavour - and the price of a potentially higher return. Complaining when the risk materializes seems a little hypocritical, though I do feel for the people who bought into this project for non-investment reasons.

    Toronto Pinnacle Etobicoke | 137.76m | 43s | Pinnacle | Turner Fleischer

A streetcar/LRT line might become feasible, especially given the width of Dundas.

    Toronto One Old Mill & Two Old Mill | ?m | 12s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

Urbandreamer has it spot on. You're new to the forum, all five of your posts are in the same thread, and a blog entry on the same subject. It's pretty clear you have a financial interest in this development, and your claims of "great success" should be taken with a pinch of salt.

    Toronto One Old Mill & Two Old Mill | ?m | 12s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

It's interesting that you cropped the point about intensification near a subway station. I assume you'd be against anything of a similar scale on this site - regardless of the aesthetics?

    Toronto One Old Mill & Two Old Mill | ?m | 12s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

I don't care for the architecture, but the location is hardly in the "middle" of BWV. The level of foot traffic east of Jane is markedly higher than in this location. I'm disappointed with the lack of scale given its proximity to the subway.
