    Toronto Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto | 207.86m | 53s | Graywood | Kohn Pedersen Fox

Logos on towers have always really bugged me. A building isn't a piece of stationery that needs its corporate letterhead emblazoned across its top. Why can't a building be allowed to speak for itself and be its own logo? I mean I think that in this case, where the building is already pretty...

    G-20 Summit in Toronto

The police didn't 'do enough' when the situation turned violent and people started committing illegal acts of vandalism. When the police 'actually did more,' nobody was doing anything violent or illegal. Am I missing something?

    TTC Website

Just throwing this out there, TTC, but maybe one could also get out at the station that's called "Museum." You know, in case that doesn't make too much sense.

Um they've had this for a few months now.

    Spellin' and gramma

Okay, 'cause that's how it should be.

    Spellin' and gramma

It's wrong. Although apparently you do use an apostrophe to form the plural of abbreviations with periods (W.M.D.'s, P.S.'s) and of lowercase letters (mind your p's and q's).

    Spellin' and gramma

Yeah, both. "Have you seen how fat Jim's son's girlfriend's uncle's hairdresser's assistant's travel agent's secret lesbian lover's cat is?" is also fine, technically.

    Spellin' and gramma

Improper apostrophe usage is one of my biggest pet peeves too, and I'm seeing it more and more often, in everything from internet forum messages to advertisements. People always seem to want to use an apostrophe for plurals - not just for things like "DVD's" or other abbreviations, but for...

Scramble Crossings (City of Toronto) (Yonge/Dundas, Yonge/Bloor, Bay/Bloor)

Controversial really seems to have joined that most annoying league of words, which includes diva, legendary, and many others, that are so overused they've lost much of their meaning. One driver with a peculiarly canine way of voicing his objections equals a controversy?

The Star: Is it closing time for the Matador?

Here is the (automated) reply I got from Giambrone: I absolutely love how he tries to spin this into some progressive initiative, by using phrases like "contribute to the pedestrian and cycling environment" and "re-imagine and re-invent this space" etc. Guess what: the most progressive thing...

    Which lots/sites do you hate?

The parking lot in front of the Dominion in Little Italy, at College and Crawford, always bugs me. Really breaks up a great, mostly uninterrupted strip of commercial storefronts (although College gets more residential just a bit west of there). It would be nice if that lot could be remade into a...

    Homelessness and Panhandling in Toronto

Honestly, I registered just so I could say . . . You're a massive tool. Please go play in traffic. To the rest of the people on this board, sorry for the confrontational first post, but seriously this guy needs to fuck off and come back when he's not so cringe-inducingly lame.
