I always liked the other design but hated that it was just plopped on the other building looking entirely out of place. This new render it kinda how I thought the older design should have looked. Much improved.

On topic of this building however. I like the design. But hate how it’s just plopped on the older building. Maybe if we’re on som slight angle instead of dead centred over it.

That futuristic shaped building that once was thought to go on the Portland area.. still has me hooked on the design. Great to see it as a model and back in circulation.even if it never ever sees the lights in Toronto. It’s a great looking design.

My guess is for a Crain or lift ?

Curious, Could the heat given off maybe melt any before it builds up? (assuming these are lights)

Strictly an opinion thing nothing more. Many of us like the quirky buildings better then everything just fitting in to its sorrourdings. Examples of this scattered around the city. And they attract attention. Usually in a positive way.

My guess lighting. This really is going to change the city when completed. The feeling will be so different in this area. And forever change many views in and around the city. And in a really amazing way for a change. If we have to get more office towers just to have the nice ones on the skyline...

The smaller building to the south does not seem like it’s worth saving very minimum details on it that are remotely interesting. The red brick building beside and at that direct corner though... has a lot of character. Glad they are trying to save these though. As a Main Street that has just...

Oh wow this thing got real dull. Look back at the older renders and you’ll see what I mean. Yikes. Lost opportunity for something interesting in this spot. I’m sure it will be functional and all, as is now.
