    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Listening to the City Hall session - someone made a great point. That when the LRT was pitched it was supposed to be 33-34 minutes and their decision was based on that estimation. In retrospect, would the city have bought into the Finch LRT at current speed? Not sure... I got to say that it's...

Better speed, unimpeded by traffic lights on an artery such as Eglinton knowing TTC MO with operating rail vehicles at grade - yeah, the nutjobs had no clue in retrospect

Did such issue happen at the opening of a brand new line? I don't recall Sheppard having those issues on day 1.

It's crazy how demonized some of us were for having the audacity to say that Eglinton (and Sheppard East) should have been a subway and that they cooked the numbers (Neptis) to make sure LRT won over subway while excluding Skytrain/OL technology from the studies. How the table have turned...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

This is hopeful like I wrote in the streetcar thread. Part of the motion is to have vehicles go faster than the road speed limit - which is a no brainer

    TTC: Streetcar Network

I'm encouraged by the political will to make this happen, I think this time - we might have some real results. Politically, Chow chose her moment correctly. Line 6 was the bottom and she took the situation to push reforms across the board. Should she succeed in turning this around and people...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

well, it will be an election year. Great timing and it will be hilarious watching her opponents advocating to kill signal priorities and keep transit slow to protect drivers

I mean isn't it obvious? Eglinton will be a 2-tier system based on what we're seeing on Finch. Trains are going to get short-turned at Don Valley due to the disparity in speed and service between the the Scarborough section and the tunnel section.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Cringe... Line 6 from Finch West to Humber College beats 2 buses including transfer by only 7 minutes.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I feel less OCD with Finch, Sheppard and Lawrence being correctly aligned

For the life of me...why is the TTC afraid of speed???

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I have to agree that this would make more sense and a more truthful representation of reality

Thoughts and prayers for all the OCD people in the city who can't get over Finch and Finch West not being aligned correctly 🫣

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

3+ more years of this... hoping dor the PC to get wiped off the map in 2029. The coward will likely not run again and let the remaining PC MPPs get slaughtered come election day

President Donald Trump's United States of America

He's serious and the sooner we wake up to this and stop acting that it's all a giant act the better we can prepared to counter that. That Golden Dome gets built with our without our approval, they'll settle in the north and extract resources whether we like it or not. I'm supportive of the...

    Canada and the World

That was the point of my argument - western powers have selectively enforced or interpreted the UN Charter, especially when it aligns with their strategic interests while "demanding" that the rest of the world abide by them unconditionally. That's the criticism from the global majority towards...

    Canada and the World

When you listen to western politicians and medias, they tend to frame collective west (G7+EU) as "the world" despite its combine population accounting for roughly 15%. If we're going to have an honest discussion about Canada and the World, the global South (global majority) views should be...
