On another note, security's totally on point in the area.

I'm not too sure about this. My experience is very anecdotal, but for both the green and pink lines that run through the area, they're well under capacity. (I took both for work commute until switching to GO a couple months back.) Service is about 5-10 min interval (between the 2 lines) during...

Feeling pretty safe walking by the Marriott.

They're not so bad, definitely 1 step up from the typical brick cookie-cutter homes. Point is moot because I'll never be able to afford those at $1.5 million.

Poke Guys is opening a location where the Raw More cafe used to be. They used to have insane line-ups at their downtown location so I hope they have just as much success here.

    1) Most likely financing and resources. Projects take a lot of time, people and money; Remington as a single developer probably don't have the resources to manage and build too many at a time. Building costs have skyrocketed in recent years due to the high amount of construction projects in the...

That's insane. The townhouses at the York Condo development seem like a bargain now when they listed at ~$650k last year.

No idea, if anything replaced it, it won't be for another 20-30 years? I'd imagine that's their main sales centre for all residential projects in the area, and there's still plenty of space to develop. We invite the ward's councillor to our building's annual meeting and he said something about...

South side of the Nexus building is a tough sell, sad to say. Just too far away from Enterprise and barely any visibility from Birchmount. Coming north, cars would have to do a u turn even if you get any interest - a major inconvenience. Non-existent foot traffic except for locals. With the new...

Just noticed the big Under Amour sign at the theatre, I'm guessing they're the tenant for the office space upstairs.

They've been working on a new mural for the past couple weeks now on the east wall. Seems a bit more colourful and family friendly than the previous. Hope this one lasts a bit longer.. PSA: Seems like Nexus buildings finally decided to lock down the gates going into Upper Duke.

I swear that we received a invitation to a public meeting about the zoning amendment for this building a few months back. Development is indeed slow - the Signature building have been in progress for 3 years now and I can't imagine a move-in date within 2016. Even when the York University...

Really exciting! Free rides for another half hour (6pm) today if anyone's reading.

Mission accomplished I guess! :D FYI grand opening of the carousel is set for July 1. I'm sure the crowd will be a bit of a nightmare.

Kiu's the Japanese restaurant by the theatre, right beside the Goodlife on the 2nd floor. Yep. The fountain will also double as a skating rink in the winter. More retail stuff: - Go for Tea looks to be about ready for their grand opening any day now. - Building permit's up for Curry's, though...

I pulled back the screen to take a peek yesterday. Even from seeing pictures of it previously, I wish they had gone with a more traditional carousel look. The reclaimed material/junkyard look isn't my cup of tea; however the details are supposed to be pretty amazing. It being solar powered is...

Yeah, I noticed the peeling as well. I guess the area's too open and allows for strong wind. Other updates of note for the area: - Kiu is now open. I have to go give it a try. - Carousel components are trickling in. They've also pushed back the fence to complete the brickwork to the curb. -...

So this mural came down as quietly as it went up over the weekend. Wonder if it scared too many kids driving by.

It's getting even brighter now that Good Life is starting to take shape on the second floor. I've been saying it for a little while now to my fiance; I feel bad for whoever bought units at the Signature facing the theatre. Getting the unit lit up by the LED screen is going to get old quick.
