I support all the protesters, but that blog post is disappointing. “Canadian Curmudgeon†aka Don was with him; he was the LGBTQ activist who, in my opinion, incited an assault under the douchiest of white-privilege guises." There were no reports that the LGBTQ protesters incited verbal...

What a mess. Chow was the only one who brought up Ford's sobriety and the media criticize her, calling it a low blow. And that was from a Torontoist reporter!

Maybe from his core base, they support him no matter what. But people are used to tabloids leaking information whenever any celebrity goes to rehab. He's a celebrity now, so I don't think there will be an outpouring of sympathy.

I'm not surprised by his behaviour and lies. But lots of addicts act out in rehab. This is just another sign that Greenstone isn't capable or interested in providing proper treatment. Rehab facilities should provide different levels of treatment. My relative is in a programme that offers...

Pedophiles do have 'feelings' towards children beyond sexual attraction. Some pedophiles have romantic feelings towards children and their 'relationships' with children. I agree that they are mentally ill people and not monsters. Monsters are mythical creatures, rarely encountered and impossible...

Agreed. I'm sure more than a few psychiatrists and psychologists are crossing Greenestone off their list of rehabs they refer patients to.

But it does jeopardize his situation. He's back in a situation where people see him as a celebrity, take photos with him, and then post them all over the internet. He really needs to step back from all that if he's serious about treatment. I'm sure Greenestone has a lovely visitors area where...

Definitely, but that can happen in rehab with the proper treatment. Acknowledging that you're an addict. Accepting that addiction is a chronic illness that never goes away. It is only managed on a daily basis in various ways. You need qualified, experienced medical professionals for treatment...

I agree on a certain level. Getting treatment is crucial and I would never criticize what gets the addict there in the first place. Hopefully something sticks to start the long process of managing addiction. But the rich and famous are just like the rest of us. Look at someone like Lindsay...

Plenty of rehabs encourage visits to AA during inpatient treatment. Part of rehab is learning how to establish a healthy routine & coping strategies for when you leave rehab. Most addicts aren't going to find their local AA meeting spot and show up for regular meetings all on their own after...

That kid's bike with the training wheels still on in the backyard breaks my heart :(

I saw it also, can't remember where. He was standing with 3 other guys outside talking and laughing. They were clearly passing the flask around and drinking. But Ford wasn't caught on camera drinking. He had his usual rosy glow and seemed completely unconcerned about being seen in clear view...

But you take Effexor daily and it causes significant changes in brain functioning as well as treating underlying health problems. You can't be a daily user of alcohol (heavy use), opiates, benzos, amphetamines, cocaine, most psychiatric meds & other prescription meds without experiencing...

They are. Applications have to include a record of any criminal history. That's just the first step if you're coming to Canada on a work visa, or as a permanent resident. There's another security/criminal check before your citizenship application is approved. I went through the process. It's not...

Yes, Benzos are helpful during alcohol withdrawal. But you really need to be in rehab if you need to take benzos to reduce your risk of seizures. Alcohol withdrawal kills if you're that addicted. You'll be in a hospital bed. Not at a football game eating chicken wings.

Who needs ephedrine when you can get a prescription for Adderall or other ADHD meds. Legal amphetamines are probably a good substitute for cocaine and they suppress appetite. But he's a binge eater. Suppressing appetite won't cure his need to binge.

They do the same thing anytime there's a train wreck. It's a not so subtle technique to get some free publicity.

This looks like a good starting point for the class action law suit Toronto borrowing costs rise because of Ford’s drug scandal.

Imagine how much he drinks if he does have a high tolerance. He looks beyond wasted in all those photos and videos. Scary!

Do we need to search the internet for more photos of her and post them here? I suppose it's human nature but it's still disappointing. She'll probably change her legal name to distance herself from the whole mess to protect her privacy and safety.
