    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

I would think that the motivation was actually to reduce ridership, that is, to make it less likely that rush hour trains would be overcrowded

Which is unreliable and takes twice as long as the UP?

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

No, GO train (and UP) should be integrated into a larger regional network that includes the TTC. That is why we have fare integration, and why the pedestrian connection is being built between Dundas West and Bloor Station. We should encourage airport travellers to use this transfer rather than...

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

The question is, do you want a transit NETWORK, or do you want to pretend that the point of transit is only to move people to and from Union Station?

Good point! It's also hard to square with the fact that the pedestrian tunnel is being built to connect to the Dundas West subway

There are tons of airport workers and flight attendants who take the train from Bloor Station. And as a traveller who takes the train from Bloor to and from the airport, it's one thing to time your departure based on the revised schedule, but I'm not looking forward to arriving at Pearson and...

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

The traffic light at Bloor and Perth is now operating (and the barrier removed), making for a much easier rail path detour around the closure at the GO/UP station . Now if only there was a direct cycling connection between Perth and the rail path further South (instead of having to jog to the...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I hope you're right. I'm on a neighbourhood Facebook group and there are some people loudly opposing the plans that sounds not too different from those in Ward 2

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I hope this won't be repeated at next Tuesday's meeting about the proposed West Parkdale cycling connections: https://www.toronto.ca/community-people/get-involved/public-consultations/infrastructure-projects/west-parkdale-cycling-connections/ Please attend if you are in the area

"Other than frequency, level boarding, and Pearson connection," what have the Romans ever done for us?

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

This would be (kind of) true if there was access to the new concourse from the sidewalk, but I don't believe that that is the plan. You can't expect the residents of the Crossways buildings or of the adjacent new building to backtrack through the GO station if they want to go to the subway...

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

Most of Toronto is "undrivable" most of the time. That's why we need priority for public transit, so that people stop using cars as much as possible.

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

The third image shows the new tunnel entrance ("Randolph Pavillion") and, zooming in, the signage at the entrance says "Bloor GO Station" only. However, this will effectively also function as an entrance to the Dundas West subway station

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Sorauren Park has the same conditions you describe, despite also having a designated off-leash area. In my experience, it is not uncommon to see the off-leash area completely empty, and a dozen or more dogs running off leash elsewhere in the park. Moreover, some dog owners are quite aggressive...

And why is it showing the station from the perspective of drivers?

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

I noticed today that there's significant progress with the new tunnel entrance to Bloor Station at Randolph Avenue (pictures taken from the UP platform, over the fence)

    King-Queen-Roncy Intersection/ROW

Would you feel comfortable letting an 8-year old ride a bike on that "bike lane"?

    King-Queen-Roncy Intersection/ROW

Again, my impression is that the BIA underestimates the impact of people coming by transit -- because the store owners themselves tend to drive. When the 504 was not running, my commute pattern changed completely and I was on Roncy much less than I would have been otherwise. I'm sure it was the...

    King-Queen-Roncy Intersection/ROW

My impression of the BIA is that they are too bone-headed to realize that many of their customers come by bike

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

The ground floor of the building is entirely commercial, essentially a small mall with a Dollarama, CIBC and several other stores. Surely these businesses would benefit from a direct connection to the subway and the GO station.
