    Need Help / Advice

There are both pecuniary and non pecuniary damages in this case. I'm trying to avoid that route because it's a lot of time and effort and I may not get back enough to make it worth my time but at the same time I don't want to leave the home I have enjoyed for so long. They insist they've done...

    Need Help / Advice

Hi folks, hope this is the right area for this post. I need some help solving an issue I've been facing for the past several weeks. I have been renting a unit in a condo for 4 years now. During that time, I've generally really enjoyed living here and had a pretty good experience overall...

    Church-Wellesley Village

Is that the old Java Jive location? I walked by there on my way to TotD and didn't notice that.

50 at Wellesley Station (Plaza) - Real Estate -

I'm happy to see that this site is finally, finally going to be developed. I've been walking by it in various states of ruin for years now and something other than rubble and a wobbly fence is quite welcome. What are people's thoughts on this location as an investment?

    Toronto 561 Sherbourne | 128.01m | 43s | Medallion | Arcadis

I've been watching the demolition of the building from my window for a while now. Kind of cool to watch the claw slowly demolish that structure. I had always wondered what went on up there and at times speculated it was a no frills warehouse but found out later it was an abandoned fitness club...

Where is this new restaurant located? For some reason I couldn't figure out which building I was looking at in the picture.

    Church-Wellesley Village

I live @ the Verve and the Red Rocket here used to put out these big wooden benches in the summer on the side of the building to give people a nice place to sit outside and enjoy their coffee, tea etc. while it was warm. Problem was, the benches were too big and heavy to really move so they...

9000 Bathurst St "Thornhill" (2 X 17s)...Not ready for Projects and Construction!

Disgusting! It's so sad to see the oldest tradition in the world is still alive in you Palma.

9000 Bathurst St "Thornhill" (2 X 17s)...Not ready for Projects and Construction!

As I said earlier, whether they explicitly say Muslims only or deny applications of non-Muslims is irrelevant because, in effect, the same situation will arise. No one will want to move into a building where they know they are going to have to fight to get basic rights they would have by default...

9000 Bathurst St "Thornhill" (2 X 17s)...Not ready for Projects and Construction!

You sound like you have an agenda ... I'm sure the proposal is experiencing opposition on both fronts. I'm merely pointing out why opposition on the basis of its character, not as a Muslim community but as one which has been known to disseminate anti-semitic literature is justified. If...

9000 Bathurst St "Thornhill" (2 X 17s)...Not ready for Projects and Construction!

Having grown up in the area and having friends who still live there, my understanding is that there are real security concerns faced by Jews specifically, even here in Canada. The last time I went to a Jewish temple I had to have my bag searched which I thought was odd since it has never...

9000 Bathurst St "Thornhill" (2 X 17s)...Not ready for Projects and Construction!

You clearly don't understand the persecution Jewish people have faced throughout all of history and specifically the persecution and hatred directed at them from Muslim communities around the world. While, it is not an universal sentiment, my opinion of things changed drastically when I was on...

9000 Bathurst St "Thornhill" (2 X 17s)...Not ready for Projects and Construction!

No one thinks it's wrong to build Muslim only communities in Canada? If someone were to build a Catholics only condo complex anywhere in the city you don't think there'd be a problem with it? It's not racist to be against this development, it was racist to propose it in the first place...

    Toronto Couture The Condominium | ?m | 42s | Philmor | Graziani + Corazza

This building is full of cheap. Best decision I made this year was moving out of there. I feel sorry for anyone who bought here.

    Church-Wellesley Village

Not those doing it, those deciding on it. And it should be done to reflect the character and nature of the community... which is gay. I'm pretty sure that's what they were going for with the rainbow lines, madonna and the cowboys on the ones I've seen so far, but art is always open to...

    Church-Wellesley Village

Between the $75,000 rainbow poles and this I'm beginning to wonder if anyone deciding on these pieces of "art" is actually gay... Surely, any self-respecting gay man would have better taste?

    Church-Wellesley Village

It's nice that something small and independent opened up on the strip, regardless of what it is. Everything is being replaced with generic chain stores, anything to stop that trend is good in my opinion.

So many renters breaking their rental agreement and leaving early.

From my personal perspective, I might be looking at leaving a lease early very soon. I have been in my brand new "luxury" unit for just under a month and have been unable to reasonably, quietly enjoy my living space since more tenants have started to move into the building. The noise levels...

    Church-Wellesley Village

Church / Wellesley village and Yonge south of Gerard are very different animals. I think this will go over well, even though some of the most popular spots have neglected to take part. I know many of the proprietors and if it goes well I'm sure they will take part next year.
