Toronto Cherry House at Canary Landing | 50.32m | 13s | Dream | COBE Architects

This building looks good. Way better than 95% of the dreck built here.

    Pickering Airport (Transport Canada/GTAA, Proposed)

What’s the need to build a new second airport when nearby airports in Hamilton and Waterloo are not seeing much growth ? If a second airport is needed to relieve pressure off Pearson, then develop those airports.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

The condos there and also the councillor at that time I forgot who it was fought to have the stop reinstated. I think if it was now Metrolinx wouldn’t have given in but maybe because the agency was new at that time, that’s why we have ended up with this current situation.

General cycling issues (Is Toronto bike friendly?)

I’m in Vancouver visiting and Toronto could learn a thing or two about how to build a proper bike lane from them.

    Quebec-Windsor Corridor

I don’t really get this line of thinking. We have been having health care issues and housing issues forever so not building this is not all of a sudden going to make those problems disappear. Countless billions are being spent on pharmacare, dental care and other social endeavours and we still...

    Quebec-Windsor Corridor

That’s why he needs to start making noise about when he is in power.

    Quebec-Windsor Corridor

Doug Ford should be ringing them up for a phase 2 or 3 to Windsor with stops at Pearson, Kitchener, and London.

    Quebec-Windsor Corridor

I hope the Conservatives go ahead with this project once the Liberals are kicked out.

    Toronto T3 Bayside | 42m | 10s | Hines | 3XN

This could never be built in Toronto. Just look all the hate the spa say Ontario Place is getting.

Highway 401 Transit and Auto Tunnel

Exactly after the feasibility studies, they will probably say it’s too expensive and there are cheaper alternatives which can do the same job.

Highway 401 Transit and Auto Tunnel

The only way this would even work was if it was tolled. But instead of doing this why don’t they propose to work with the Feds to do a phase 2 of the HFR or high speed rail line with stops at Pearson, Kitchener, London, and Windsor.

Highway 401 Transit and Auto Tunnel

I wonder how they build road tunnels in other places with all these issues you have listed.

Highway 401 Transit and Auto Tunnel

Yes that’s what should have been done. At least the portion in downtown. Instead we put lipstick on a pig and kept that eyesore up.

    VIA Rail

It seems we are backwards here at times. What is wrong with Air Canada joining the bid? Why must there be some ulterior motive? Aren't airlines partnering with high speed trains all the time in Europe and no one bats an eye to it.

    Quebec-Windsor Corridor

The province should be advocating for a phase 2 of this kind going through Pearson, Kitchener, London, and Windsor.

    VIVA + York Region Transit

Plus their demographics are different. Brampton seems more like a working class suburb with a large international student population who don’t own cars and are willing to use transit. The cities in York Region are more of upper middle class white collar job types who drive. I doubt you’re...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

It’s not just Metrolinx. It’s Toronto and Ontario as a whole. I would even extend it to all of Canada excluding maybe Quebec.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

That’s because we allow it. There are many places around the world where their lrt or trams aren’t stopping at red lights.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I was just in Granada, Spain and I observed with their tram as soon before it even approaches the intersection or roundabout, all the cars had to wait for it to cross. Priority was always given to the tram over the cars. It was pretty neat. Knowing Toronto I doubt the surface section of the...
