    Toronto 399 Yonge | 252.3m | 75s | Capital Developments | Teeple Architects

I wonder how much business that BP location ever saw. AoD

    Toronto 110 Adelaide Street East | 217.6m | 65s | Stafford | Arcadis

Those spandrel panels are going to be quite hot. /s Maybe it'd be Artistry east of Yonge! AoD

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

Given how short the trains will be, I wonder where they will position the train - at the York end or Bay end? Or whether it will vary depending on which train you take? The latter arrangement could be potentially messy. AoD

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

The density of the surrounding area isn't high enough to justify a hub given how diffuse it was - and you don't really need a multi-billion dollar hub to improve the provision of transit in the area. In fact, I would argue increasing the frequency of existing services is probably more helpful...

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

While potentially useful, the importance of the transit hub - especially considering the current trends - seems overstated at this point. I'd rather put the money into proper HF/SR in the Toronto/Montreal corridor. AoD

    Canada and the World

Totally true, but I wouldn't complain about Canada if I am in a country that has such poor health performance for the cost. AoD

    Canada and the World

Access to health care is certainly an issue; but cost vis-a-vis the US (and relative to overall coverage)? We are spending what, 12-13% of our GDP vs what 16-18% in the US. It's a weird take. AoD

    Oakville ClockWork Phase 2 at Upper Joshua Creek | ?m | 12s | Mattamy Homes | BNKC

"But he questions whether he would be able to sell or rent his home to anyone else given the state of the area and the construction which starts early each morning and goes on until the evening." Am I supposed to feel sorry about this? AoD

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

Or tax transfers of generational wealth to fund the OAS. As to rolling back OAS - I have no issue with doing it in principle, but I think the key here is doing it gradually - in monthly increments by age. AoD

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

On the heels of including student residences and long-term care beds as "new homes", the Ford government decided to cut red tape further and added cemeteries plots in the new count. AoD

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

To be fair, the horde is what first and foremost a train station should serve. I was there last Friday and the amount of noise - combined with the music - in the food court is borderline off-putting. The whole lower concourse is an odd mix at the moment. AoD

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

Though that is historical - our immigration system has always been about attracting workers for jobs that are unattractive to locals (think from farmers/settlers to industrial/construction workers and now to service workers). The HQPs are an add on, not a default. AoD

    Toronto Basin Media Hub | 21m | 5s | Hackman Capital Partners | SOM

What I want to see is what the members of the DRP has to say about this gradual VEing of the design. AoD

    Crises in Haiti

Honestly, it's probably more Somalia, without the religious extremism part. AoD

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Well, this must be the City's version of GWB's "Mission Accomplished". AoD

    Crises in Haiti

Except there was very little resistance to occupying powers in Germany; not sure if the same can be said of Haiti considering the armed elements; also the German population still have industrial expertise that are in demand;; not sure what Haiti is bringing to the table that would make it...
