Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

You ceased being funny years ago.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

This thread has gotten ridiculous. Can't the world's greatest screen debate be moved here?

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

    Clearly Leary has incriminating pics.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I think it would be subway even if the Liberals or NDP proposed it. Shutting down a useful rapid transit line for 5+ years is a political non-starter. This isn't the crumbling SRT. What's being overlooked is that they're considering extending this east of McCowan.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Will this be a package deal -- Adam Giambrone and his mirror?

Ontario Line North of Eglinton (was Relief Line North) (Speculation)

Every subway ever built was for political reasons.

There is no polite way to tell someone to stop posting here.

    Toronto Eaton Centre (Ongoing Renewal) | ?m | ?s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

I could play that for 2+ hours on one quarter back in the day. Time well wasted.

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

It was the Borough of North York then, part of Toronto (the Metro version), and Yonge was not barren at all though very suburban. People still complaining that subway extensions should stop at Steeles are a day late and a dollar short. Toronto had countless opportunities to extend both ends of...

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

    As did CP24.

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

Looks like Chow is pulling ahead and will win, but I didn't expect this at all.

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

Three high profile candidates, and the desire of many to move on from the Rob Ford debacle.

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

I advance voted for Bailão under the assumptions that Chow wins comfortably and that Bailão has the best chance of finishing second ahead of Saunders. The less momentum that troglodyte builds for 2026, the better.

    News from across Europe

Erdogan gets weapons deals, more earthquake relief, and financial considerations to help the beleaguered Turkish economy (which tanked primarily due to his policies). In exchange he takes in more refugees and approves Sweden's entry into NATO. Everyone is happy.

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

Voted at an advance poll today. It was busier than I expected, for whatever that's worth.

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

That's possible. Finishing a solid second in this election could be a springboard to winning in 2026, even if Chow runs again.

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

I'd bet a few shekels that the goal of his sudden sign invasion is to cut into Chow's support.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Miller didn't have much leverage. York Region had obtained provincial and then federal support for Spadina. Miller had little love for Spadina, but McGuinty promised billions in future Toronto transit funding in exchange for Miller publicly supporting Spadina. That he still has little use for a...

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Split the cost for Cummer with the province, 50-50 or 1/3-2/3. I'm sure Doug and Olivia will figure it out. No, really!

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

The article doesn't negate anything I said. Again, this council motion was clearly introduced by David Miller in reaction to York Region's rapid 2008 momentum pushing the Yonge extension. And Giambrone said what he said about no DRL being possible until after TC was complete, however long that...
