    Toronto Motion On Bay Street | ?m | 29s | Concert | IBI Group

Wordsworth is the best building aA have done. And, PC allowed others their hand on the design, which is why it looks so good.

    Toronto Living Shangri-La Toronto | 214.57m | 66s | Westbank | James Cheng

The best part of this building is the base. It has some movement and articulation. The tower is pure crap, and it seems like a lot of people get sold on height and miss the detail that could be added.

    Toronto L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

This really needed a true curve all the way to the base. It just lacks the excitement the original concept had. Once the base of the " l " disappeared it lost a lot of funk. And, do you think aA would have done better. Another square box ? So many people have a big turn on for 'anything' PC...

    Toronto Humbertown Redevelopment | ?m | 21s | First Capital | Kirkor Architects

I don't think she can be called an Architect ? "led the team.......against three other architect firms" - that's a bit conceited.

    Toronto Ellie Condos | 105.76m | 31s | G Group | Kirkor

Also, also...also ?? The Design Review Panel is just people !! The last time I looked, they are representatives of the profession in this city, with I dare to suggest a few more years experience than you in commenting about "vile" elements of a building.

Toronto Panorama at Concord CityPlace | 96.01m | 28s | Concord Adex | BDP Quadrangle

The problem with cityplace is that it looks just like vancouver. no personality - and that's why montage is the best looking building. it is different and has some clean character to it.

    TCHC: 501 Adelaide E / 288 King E (14s, aA)

solaris, have to agree with you. I also like the colour they use in the spandrel, although I hope the mullion colour doesn't fade in this environment.

    Mississauga Absolute World | 169.77m | 56s | Cityzen | MAD architects

I hope the final image and form turns out like the original. From the construction, it appears to have been slimmed down and less rotation in the building.

Speculating about a new start at 1 Bloor East

Unfortunately Hume is way off key on this topic. I'm not the greatest fan of Dundas Square, or maybe its the failed building that PenEquity put up as the backdrop to this site. 1 Bloor Street needs to strengthen the corner of this site with a well designed building. Regardless of the size...

    Toronto Ellie Condos | 105.76m | 31s | G Group | Kirkor

I do work in the development industry, which prompts me to review certain buildings and sites. I occasionally look beyond the "insight" that some posters seem to offer, which in your case is simply an attack on a firm of architects that appear sometimes to be at the whim of developers, or the...

scarberian I find it interesting that the majority of threads you reply to are either concerning transit/subway systems or trashing Kirkor. Perhaps you worked there at one point.

    Toronto One Old Mill & Two Old Mill | ?m | 12s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

Flippant remarks ? Oversimplified descriptions - perhaps you are looking at all the recent examples of the work being done by these firms. Unless you are Christopher Hume, who describes Peter Clewes as the preminent Condo architect in Toronto. There are good examples in this City of work...

    Toronto One Old Mill & Two Old Mill | ?m | 12s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

I still think we have to be careful in how we pay homage as you put it. Everything done by aA's, Core, KPMB all looks the same. At least from the stuff I've seen - convince me otherwise ? I don't think the building looks Tudor in any sense, or are you refering to the buildings across the...

    Toronto One Old Mill & Two Old Mill | ?m | 12s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

urbandreamer, perhaps your real name is christopher hume....!! what garbage you write, either that or you work for peter. aA may be a good firm of architects - but the best ? we we certainly don't need in the west end is another interpretation of the downtown core transplanted here by the...

    Toronto One Old Mill & Two Old Mill | ?m | 12s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

UrbanDreamer Why is it every building you want to see is a re-hash of aA or Core. Not every building in the City needs to be a square box, no matter how you want to dress it up. Perhaps, Tridel/the Architect will address some of the concerns and produce a more elightened version for you -...

Russell Hill, The (Great Gulf/Signature Living, 7s, D+S) COMPLETE

I find the design has tried to fit elements of proportion from the venacular neighborhood quite well. This is especially hard to do, when adding a modern window component into the brick facade. While it doesn't relate to some of the buildings along St. Clair - it doesn't have to as there is...

    Toronto One Old Mill & Two Old Mill | ?m | 12s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

I'll still hold off my thoughts until a couple of renderings appear. I am glad to see a working methodology occur which I presume was without the Design Panel even being involved. You either end up doing a lot of work at the back end of the design which then compromises the original...

I'd like to see some renderings of the project before making a comment on this. Although it appears others have already formulated their opinion very quickly. I'd like to know why everything in this city, should be some form of aA or Core designed buildings - frnakly I'm getting tired of...
