    Toronto 1Thousand Bay | 104.85m | 32s | Cresford | a—A

Mike: Is this property sale online? If so, where? How much do they want? I've always wondered about that building site... an address of 1000 Bay Street could make an excellent upscale condo tower. Views westward would be lovely.

Trump Toronto vs Four Seasons Toronto: Construction

I'm not 100% sure about all this, but my understanding is that Trump has financing in place, and groundbreaking will be this fall? I received an email from them telling me this. I expect Four Seasons will be later merely because they started marketing FOUR YEARS later...I would certainly...

Post: A City dismissed by design

Wallpaper* Wallpaper* should change its name to Toiletpaper. I mean come on, isn't the founder from Winnipeg? It's time for me to buy this month's issue of Toiletpaper. I read it wearing a monocle ;)

Vancouver: Transit ridership up 11% with high gas prices

Creeps and weirdos I almost crapped when I saw that picture...that was exactly my quote! The Skytrains are pretty bad here in Vancouver. I took a little walk around Vancouver's Downtown Eastside at lunch... I do a walk every day. Wow, it's a very sad area. At the same time, very diverse and...

Vancouver: Transit ridership up 11% with high gas prices

Vancouver transit... I find this one interesting. I've been in Vancouver for almost 8 months, having moved from Toronto. There are still a lot of cars on the road from what I see. Many people who work downtown, and don't live downtown, seem to drive downtown. This is partly due to cheap...

    Toronto 83 Redpath Ave | ?m | 21s | The Benvenuto Group | Sweeny &Co

The most hideous thing I've seen since Donatella Versace. The intro prices are awesome though...much better than Vancouver's "starting in the high 300's" that's now common...for just over 500 sq ft.

I also recall said Eaton's food hall. I would wear a monocle and shop there...I felt VERY classy. Alas, now I wear my monocle to No Thrills on Wellesley Street. *sigh*

    Toronto 155 Cumberland and 130 Bloor Street West | 88.69m | 21s | KingSett Capital | BDP Quadrangle

I would like to purchase one, or a train...which I can also afford ;) Does anyone have updated pricing for these units? My understanding is that the least expensive unit, at about 2700 square feet, would be about $3.5 million. The Torno Penthouse may ask as much as $20 million, making it the...

Pusateri's Unfortunately little Pusateri's is not much more than 5,000 square feet. I agree that this shop would better serve the neighbourhood at 2 - 3 times that size, or a more Vancouver Urban-Fare sized 20-25,000 sq ft.

    Toronto Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Toronto | 203.9m | 52s | Lifetime | a—A

internationally...Paris, NYC etc... I was referring to other cities, not standard ceiling heights in Toronto. There is no question that 10' ceilings are considered luxury product in Toronto, and 12' is for rare penthouses. I am referring to ceiling heights internationally... other cities...

    St Thomas Street

Landscaping... One option could be for a unified swanky-ish landscaping program...lamps, benches, sidewalks, to signify the Sultan-St Thomas area. Now for the next question...who will pay for it. What do wealty socialites do best? (besides get loaded)... raise money for a cause ;) Do you...

    Toronto Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Toronto | 203.9m | 52s | Lifetime | a—A

A project that just reaks of awesomeness, LOL! Seriously though, I thought the floorplans were ho-hum. They're ok...I seriously think some of the more top-end suites should have been larger. And most have only 10' ceilings. I know most consider that to be fairly high, but in 'luxury circles'...

    Toronto 77 Charles West | 65.83m | 16s | Aspen Ridge | HOK

Swank Area... This project will add to an already emerging luxury residential neighbourhood around Sultan and St. Thomas. After this, the Minto site (110 Charles West) is the only major site left to develop. You'd think they'd have a half-decent little grocery store in the immediate...

28 St. Thomas (cancelled office conversion to condo by &Co)

28 St Thomas = 101 Bloor Street West I've done some investigating into this project. It will be a luxury residential condominium project...I'd almost consider moving back to Toronto to purchase one ;) I am attaching a link to a 'for lease' ad for the Cole Haan space on the main floor...

Whoa 42!! 42, you crossed a line... Toronto as Atlanta? You have won my award for worst city insult. Toronto's WAY better than Atlanta, at least from an urbanity standpoint. Torontonians also aren't as fat as residents of Atlanta ;) Did I mention that I hate Atlanta?

    Toronto Living Shangri-La Toronto | 214.57m | 66s | Westbank | James Cheng

I donno...the Trump building will at least have taller in-suite ceilings than the Shangri-la. Shangri-la will mostly have 10' ceilings, and Trump will have 11'-13' ceilings. I prefer the Trump floorplans to the Shangri-la plans, except most Trump units don't have external balconies. The...

Toronto The James at Scrivener Square | 88.21m | 23s | Tricon | COBE Architects

I certainly support development of something significant at this site, and 26 floors seems reasonable. I noticed the 'average floor-to-floor height' increased with the new proposal to the city, which will yield 11' to 12' ceilings and probably 13' ceilings in penthouses. This will therefore...
