Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I'm still pissed that the City sold off that little strip of land on the Lappin side in 2012 to appease the Parking Gods. And for only $145k. Damn it. Imagine how much it would cost to get back at this point? Reference post by @Metroscapes who dug up those details...

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Yeah, I would love it if there were more entrances into this trail. Would benefit many. I can see why private property owners would be hesitant though. Don't think they would want just anyone walking or cycling through their parking lots. Good examples of this existing nearby though - e.g. the...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Pretty good aerial views of Hurontario / Rathburn / 403 area: (Posted by GOExpansion for some reason..... I guess they cover other Metrolinx stuff too now)

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

You won't be able to get completely through to the other side of the tracks anywhere between Wallace and Dupont. It's all private property. If that Antler/Lappin connections is made, then it shortens the connection for many people who may want to get to Campbell Park (or from the Campbell side...

    The Coming Disruption of Transport

✋We're a 2 adult, 1 kid, 1 dog, 1 house, and 0 car family. We rent when needed, pretty much always with Communauto now. It can be tricky on busier weekends though. I guess it somewhat depends on expectations and lifestyle too. I've never been used to just jumping in a car and driving off to...

Homelessness on GTA Transit (catch all)

The only time I've seen non-staff enter the tunnels was at Islington station a few years ago. A guy left his bag on the platform, went in to the westbound tunnel, and returned after about a minute. Guessing he needed a private place to have a quick pee. :D No staff called, no service delay.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Also interesting is that the map inside the bus shelter is a TTC map. :) Bus stop + shelter is maintained by Toronto / Astral.

Survey was emailed out today about the proposed new name of this branch: Junction Triangle https://email.torontopubliclibrary.ca/c/443/91d05a1e78cafb8dabdde0a4e6ad14e9cfaa6ab666b333134eaf9c32af22f72cca5f1aa49e5edb96

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Interesting. This will make a nice connection between Mississauga's Burnhamthorpe Trail and Centennial Park. I wonder how they're handling the bridge over Etobicoke Creek though. The doc says "No changes to motor vehicle travel" so that implies they're just dumping the bi-directional bike lane...

    Toronto 48 Annette Street | ?m | 3s

Have been wondering forever what would ever happen to this place. I'd be curious to see how they would squeeze 10 residential units AND ground floor retail into this 3-storey building. "10 bachelors and 1 storefront." - I guess they'll just be really tiny.

    Bloordale Village

Wallace would at least have the contra-flow bike lane section, so would remain 2-way for cycling.

Could be good if someone can actually do something with the property soon. But as it is, this is actually a useful business right now. I'd rather see faster action on some of the other vacant / derelict properties along here.

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

I try to take GO instead of UP if I'm transferring to another GO train. Amazingly, there's usually only a ~10 minute layover to catch the Lakeshore W to Hamilton when I do this. Shorter transfer distance, and it saves money, as I'm not paying a separate UP fare. You can also take bikes on GO...
