Okay Modernist revival!

Well my original idea was that the City could offer the ferry service at the cost of a Presto fare, and then run a water taxi service at a premium but still less costly than private providers.

Also as soon as we have people living here we will hopefully have a network of streets and therefore also bus routes and a streetcar one day, which will all help make this area more accessible. The transit options to the area at the moment are abysmal.

I wonder if the City could run its own water taxi service? Perhaps it would be cheaper and take some of the profits away from private providers.

Pardon my lack of civil engineering knowledge, but would it have been too cost prohibitive to tunnel for both the Ontario Line and a new hypothetical underground Gardiner rebuild? In my head it would make sense to combine the tunnelling costs of the OL with the costs of the Gardiner rebuild and...

I can't believe it's taken us so long to get the transit we deserve. Let's hope for more of these in this style all over Toronto over the next decade or two.
