Still find it kinda wild that there was nowhere else to build a new 200 metre tower that didn't require demolishing this building, which I always thought was quite handsome and one of the best examples of the mid-century apartment block we had in the Village. I hope we don't regret this loss.

Is the plan still to realign Harbour Street so that it flows naturally into Downes? If so, will there be any public space at the NW corner of Harbour and Yonge?

The people yearn for a west end line. We need better and faster access to downtown, more than just the Ontario line and whatever western extension.

I think it's such a miss that a lot of these TOC proposals offer such meagre retail components. We are talking about thousands of new residence within walking distance of this development and a station that is slated to get high frequency service in the coming decade (don't get me started)...

I wonder whether we could have streetcars going via York, Front, and Bay, even with a temporary at-grade detour while they figure out the below ground drama.

In lieu of a revamped Union loop we should at least be looking into a solid streetcar connection to either East Harbour or Corktown stations. Perhaps even going from East Harbour to Corktown and back through the Port Lands and Cherry Street. I don't know, but clearly something needs to happen ASAP.
