    The Fountains Of Toronto

Since Toronto seems to have such a hard time respecting it's fountains properly, and the forum talks about this issue quite a bit, I thought maybe it was time to start up a thread about it. I did a quick search of the forum, and didn't see a particular thread about it anywhere. Mods, if there is...

    Toronto Stanley Condominiums | 138.37m | 41s | Tribute | Core Architects

Sorry that this is just heresay. But, word is that the two buildings on the north-east corner of Church and Carlton have been sold to one buyer, for about $14 million. If any of this is true, it looks like Maple Leaf Medical will be moving to Yonge and Carlton.

Exisisting Urban Rail Lines for Subway and LRT Use.

I don't know if there's already a thread for this. There's some attention being paid in the press to the idea of using existing urban rail lines in Toronto for subway and LRT use - whether that means using the existing rails, building alongside them, or a combination. With stops added, it would...

Should Toronto Have A Set Of Standards for Potential Mayors?

Seeing a how few people are enjoying the Ford mayoralty, I was wondering if it wouldn't be a bad thing to have some kind of minimum standards in place for those seeking the office. These standards might be education or work-related. I think a kind of basic educational level wouldn't be a bad...

    Toronto In Art

In addition to photographs and videos, I thought it might be interesting to post paintings, drawings and artwork - images that aren't just "factual" - of various types that feature Toronto in it. These pics below are all from the City Of Toronto archives. Queen...

    Verticla Theme Park Concept

This doesn't look exactly buildable in this form. But with modifications and a more solid structure, perhaps something could be done with it. A version (or multiple interconnected versions) could be great for the Portlands or Exhibition Grounds - and give Wonderland a run for it's money. What do...

    Cleaning Up The Webcam Section

Dear Mods: I was just wondering if we could clean up the webcam page a bit. Most of the links are not working. The ones I found no longer on were: Ryerson Computing And Engineering Ryerson Student Centre Pinnacle Centre MARS Discovery District Harbourfront (from the weather...

York Gardens Town Homes (346 Jarvis, 4s)

Right smack dab against the Ballet School are these odd 'freehold townhomes' that have been under something like construction for a year - if the term 'construction' can be applied to something literally built out of styrofoam with concrete used as filler, and wood dabbed around the edges...

    Waterfront: WATERFRONToronto Rendering

Mods: Hope this is in the right place. Here's a pic from the side of the infotrailer(?) set up by WATERFRONToronto at Queen's Quay terminal. I thought it was interesting, because it's the most up-to-date and comprehensive rendering of the total plan for the waterfront I've seen. My apologies...
