    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

3 reasons in my opinion. 1. PC party wanted a specific opening date. So the scope of the project was limited. 2. North of Eglinton runs into a Scarborough question on whether this line stay in North York or swings to Victoria Park to boarder Scarborough. No need to derail an entire project...

    VIA Rail

Could it be a long distance sleeper demo unit. VIA had put out a RFQ recently I believe.

    Toronto Time and Space Condos | 101.8m | 29s | Pemberton | Wallman Architects

It’s not offensive at all in the grand scheme of the context of what the area will become. It is Infact perfectly designed to reflect the city’s vision of what this part of downtown should be. I’ve always felt pushback against this project is less so against the building it self, but the...

    Toronto Time and Space Condos | 101.8m | 29s | Pemberton | Wallman Architects

I think many of the dislikes in this thread came from those who resides in lower rise buildings in the area. Indeed this structure does block the views of many sub 20 Storey buildings that were built earlier and to the north. Can’t fault people to complaining. But for someone who is not...

    Toronto Time and Space Condos | 101.8m | 29s | Pemberton | Wallman Architects

Turning out to be one of the most interesting condo buildings to look at in Toronto. It’s exceeding how great it looked in the renders. Well done to the developer and designers.

Tree removed to make room for a bus shelter and garbage bin maybe? Be interesting to see if there will be planters or trees on the other side.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

I would say most congestion is caused by decades of underinvestment into public transportation infrastructure forcing residents of suburban areas to purchase their own motorized vehicles to sustain their everyday lives.

Toronto Concord Park Place: Ethennonnhawahstihnen' Community Centre | 18.9m | 4s | City of Toronto | MJMA

The building looks fine in real life. Actually fits into the area quite well. You need to see it in real life to appreciate it. It is pronounced et-ten-no-nen-was-te-nen Not too hard once you try it a couple of times. The long spelling just makes many people give up immediately

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

My take in this project is simply, just build something. We have been talking about this for an entire generation. LRT, subway, elevated metro, monorail. Anything is better than what it is now.

The gray spandrels will blend in with lots of the curtains and roller-blinds once the building is completed. I used to hate gray spandrels as much as anyone, until I saw a building with a different type of finish only to have it clash with the white backings of closed curtains once the building...

    Toronto Lawrence Parktown Residences | 42.16m | 11s | Lawrence Parktown Residences | Bortolotto

Given Toronto’s guideline on density required for higher order transit like a subway, the council should approve a building at least 35 stories tall on this location. We really shouldn’t be building low rise low density housing next to subway stations.

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

I am in agreement that the downtown should fund subways with stops every 500 meters to all suburbs of Toronto. Will you run for mayor and make this happen? Alternatively, I am also ok if you propose to ensure that the cost of building and operating transit downtown is entirely paid for by the...

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

It is removing 6K people who has otherwise no connection to the downtown. It is there not to serve those who are well served by transit, but rather those who are not. Building a transit line for those 6K people per hour would cost much more than to maintaining the highway.

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

Only they are not removing line 3. But rather they are building an underground replacement and in the same time expanding the capacity of a near parallel Go service. This is the equivalent of burying the gardiner under ground and in the same time expanding the lakeshore to 8 lanes in each...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

And this is exactly what the Sheppard corridor is right now. Since we are taking bout intensification, perhaps we should also apply the same test to the Danforth corridor where there is already a subway. Or all along the Ontario line east of the DVP. Unless there is a rule that says this...
