Future Toronto Skyline March 2023 - Bloor-Yorkville to the Waterfront

@Natika33 posted a great skyline pano in the Toronto skyline thread and they were kind enough to let me do a quick future scribble (add some stuff u/c & in the pipeline). Low rez because the photo was only 300k. I extended the pano (as well as the viewing pov) a couple of blocks north for one...

I read that Indigenous people refer to marshes/wetlands as “gardens” because of the many plants that are used, including healing ones. The Lower Don Lands use to be marshlands… thus “gardens”. An Indigenous word for gardens is “CABBAGA” (there's even a coincidental nod to a Toronto...

AUstria actually ‘cause I know he like sAUerkraut, but … remember also his camera has AUtofocus, he loves his UrbanToronto AUdience, he has a ghost AUthor writing his AUtobiography and he is very, very aware of his AUra (not the building)… so suffice to say AU could mean anything.

    Ontario Science Centre

The OSC theatre is actually OmniMAX (even more immersive than IMAX). The OmniMAX projected images can fill nearly 90% of the surrounding dome theatre... absolutely worth saving!! And while we're at it (speaking of film), if the Science Centre can't be saved... I'd repurpose the main building...

While this is true (that floor forms repeat here... until they start to taper nearer the top)... when I think of cookie-cutter floors I can't help thinking of square or rectangular floor plates repeating (or even round)... not a fourteen-sided polygon floor plate (a tetradecagon or 14-gon) lol...

All finished. My Villiers Island penthouse is on the south-west corner of the terracotta tower in the centre of the pic, over-looking the parks and Cherry Street South bridge. waterfrontoronto

Maybe it's this building's proximity to the atrocious Daniels City of fArts towers... but I'm not minding this so much (faint praise Kirkor ;-). Northern Light Can't wait for HPA's Lakeside to rise, further muting the impact on the nabe of those two Daniels mistakes by the lake.

If their site is up to date, there are 16 vendors booked for the Food Hall so far (the list scrolls by on their web-site). Maybe that's already covered in a previous post. https://www.waterworksfoodhall.com/
