    Crosstown LRT | Metrolinx

It's a mostly surface project so there's less risk for delay.

    Crosstown LRT | Metrolinx

And with Finch LRT opening that year, it'll be a great transit year for Toronto

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

At least for St Clair it was always ROW, never LRT. See below quote from the Toronto Sun in 2012 "The Ward 21, St. Paul’s councillor is asking councillors on the Toronto Transit Commission to order a third-party review of the St. Clair streetcar right-of-way project."

    Toronto | Kipling Station Transit Hub | ?m | 2s | Metrolinx | SAI

I hadn't thought about that part. Has more retail been added to Kipling station? I believe no from what I've seen in video walkthrough.

    Metrolinx: Finch West LRT

IIRC, the previous transit city work had a large section underground close to Yonge due to available space at grade.

    Metrolinx: Finch West LRT

I want both but I'd say do the west extension to the GO train first as it's both cheaper and much simpler.

Bramalea Road EA (City of Brampton)

Drivers in Brampton are notoriously the fastest in the GTA. The excessive traffic lights help calm traffic so I'm ok with it.

Bramalea Road EA (City of Brampton)

I've read through the proposal and I think they've made the right choices. The only things I said to them was to - insure that the transit and cycling infrastructure south of Dearborne should be physically separated from the rest of traffic -sidewalks should be continuous south of steeles to the...

    Toronto Surface Transit Network Plan

Go to his site and look up 'Grand Plan' (iirc) and I think that's where his Toronto transit solutions are posted

Affordability and Resilience: The Challenge of Tower Renewal in Private Rental Apartment Buildings

Surprised there was nothing about zoning in there. I feel if there was more zoning to form (i.e. all avenues get up to 12 storeys without a zoning change.... maybe a minimum of 3 stories on all avenues). Change residential housing areas to be simply that, residential - doesn't matter single...

Trackless Trams (BRT/LRT hybrid or alternative)

I can see this working over there due to environment/governmental conditions and cheap labour. I have doubts for anywhere else. All things equal, I suppose one could make an argument for this tech on Finch instead of the LRT? Too many details needed to have a proper comparison. I still would...

Trackless Trams (BRT/LRT hybrid or alternative)

Would also make it more challenging to operate in snowy/icy conditions of the GTA?

Trackless Trams (BRT/LRT hybrid or alternative)

Isn't this an autonomous electric bus with a 'high-tech' suspension? I don't see what this adds to the equation. Eventually our buses will be electrified and may be autonomous once the tech exists. Add bus lanes and voila - the same thing ?

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

That's a fantastic idea. Putting the extra land into a land trust ensure indefinite community benefits.

    Metrolinx: Finch West LRT

Isn't there less gridlock now? The Ontario government is going ahead with it's own plan (regardless of merits). I would no longer describe the situation as gridlocked. If you are talking about the Pearson Hub... then ya... for sure

    Metrolinx: Finch West LRT

Totally agree. I wrote the Premier and Metrolinx regarding this extension. Extending Finch to Woodbine Centre and onto the Woodbine Casino/GO seems like a no-brainer from a ridership perspective. Add two more stops which could be the third and fourth most used stops on the line.

    The Coming Disruption of Transport

It'll happen gradually as the # of EVs increase on the road the market will respond. I would prefer if it was mandated that say every gas station, shopping mall and big box store have at least a couple charging station but the issue will be resolved on it's own.

    Toronto | 1615-1641 Kingston Road | 35.5m | 9s | Altree | Kohn

One more layer to that. Is it corporate owned or family owned? A large corporate owned rental may never gets cheap as they'll charge as much as they can vs a mom and pop where squeezing every dollar out isn't necessarily the objective. We may eventually see this play out once the first wave of...

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413—Guelph to 400

I agree we need more connections. I would expect that there was pushback on every highway or infrastructure project built to date. Many people don't like change and aren't willing to sacrifice for the greater good.

President Joe Biden's United States of America

For some, those are the most formative years 🤷‍♂️
