    VIA Rail

I'll say it again... One of the most short-sighted project ever. Best to build true HSR in today's dollars than in 20 years dollars.

Hamilton LRT (Metrolinx/City of Hamilton, Cancelled)

In a minority government environment, the liberals could be tempted to come a save the day. They committed to Montreal's Pink Line while the Quebec provincial government had bo time for it. Now, it will depend on how bad Hamilton City council is willing to fight for it and somehow I'm not sure...

Hamilton LRT (Metrolinx/City of Hamilton, Cancelled)

Hamilton should demand a subway then! ;) Seriously, how can this government seriously hope to win 2022? Running with no program and numbers won't work twice this time nor austerity. They are pissing off the biggest voting bloc (millennials) who although tend not to vote as much will do so if...

Hamilton LRT (Metrolinx/City of Hamilton, Cancelled)

Premier Doug Ford tells @am640 that the province's price-tag estimate includes operating costs for years. That's how they have arrived at the $5.5B tally. Unclear if the province will use the same cost estimating formula for the Ontario Line and the Scarborough subway extension.

Expecting new highway announcement any days now... Welcome back to the 20th century

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

I'm sure those changes can happen but I expect the province to tell the city to pay for the extra costs

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

Liking the plan or not, this is as best as the city will get at this point.

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

Listening to the committee...aren't people aware this is virtually a done deal? Advocating for the old relief line and Transit City is a pipe dream and a waste of time. What I want to hear more is burying the line under Leslieville Addressing the line's capacity Burying Don Mills/Science Centre

TTC: Scarborough Subway Extension (formerly LRT replacement) (City of Toronto, Design Phase)

I'm happy with the 3 stop subway. The ridership made sense when it ended at Sheppard so logic prevailed here.

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

If I was Tory (too bad he doesn't have the toughness required), these would be my conditions for City Hall support City can toll the Gardiner & DVP or Queen's Park uploads both Longer trains on the Ontario Line to correctly cover future demand Funding to start planning a Northern Ontario Line...

    Ottawa Transit Developments

Does likes earns you money? I didn't see he posted it and I'm sure he'd appreciate the extra publicity for his channel

Most like Paris Line 1 but with steel wheels

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

The price difference I would assume. The full DRL would be much significantly costlier and take longer. OL (according to the Business Case) is much cheaper and delivers faster than the whole DRL...which doesn't include a western extension relieving Union

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

I think the plan is that by building the full line, you wouldn't need the Bloor-Yonge Improvements
  17. Cobra

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

Timing is more of the issue here. If the Business case is to be believed, you get OL by 2027 addressing critical problems in our network at today's dollar + inflation RL Phase 1 would open in 2029 and wouldn't relieve Eglinton-Yonge nor sufficiently relieve Bloor-Yonge or Union by intercepting...

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

It doesn't address Eglinton-Yonge & Bloor-Yonge Station for possibly an extra decade
