    Toronto skyline

Was in Toronto this weekend for a baptism and lucked into a pretty decent view of the skyline from my hotel room in Mississauga. It was foggy and I only have a phone camera, but I think it's kind of neat how Humber Bay shores seems to blend into the Downtown skyline from this angle. Taken from...

Could the line eventually be extended along/over the Go tracks to Humber Bay Shores and the Hurontario LRT?

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

It really does seem like there's conflicting impulses here between the independence of the AG and cabinet solidarity. The AG should be independent, but also is a member of the cabinet supposed to not follow the Prime Ministers lead? Ontario, and I'd guess other provinces, has the same issue...

    The High Rise Suburb

There are a few in Windsor a ways out from downtown. There's some more near the University but maybe those don't count. https://www.google.com/maps/@42.3318722,-82.9369042,548a,35y,350.83h,57.33t/data=!3m1!1e3 https://www.google.com/maps/@42.3204989,-82.9738696,354a,35y,333.95h,69.44t/data=!3m1!1e3

    2019 Canadian Federal Election

Where do you get the idea that people didn't predict Ford? The polls had been showing a PC lead for a long time before and after Ford has become leader. There was a moment where the NDP seemed to be gaining but I don't think they ever actually came out in the lead in the polls.

    2019 Canadian Federal Election

My theory is that since the Liberals have regained Quebec they will form at least minority governments in perpetuity until somebody else manages to break through in Quebec. Everything else is just noise.

Are Hydrail trains faster than diesel? Because I feel like the main goal of this whole exercise is really to make the trains faster, while decarbonization is just a nice side benefit.

Getting rid of parking minimums doesn't mean developers would just stop building parking. They could still build however much parking they'd like.

The border facilities are really quite large and the project also includes improvements to the I-75 and some local roads on the US side. From https://www.wdbridge.com/en/project-overview-gordie-howe-international-bridge-project : Also this Windsor Star article claims that the towers...

That's the 401 feeding into the Canadian POE. It currently ends in a weird dead end.

https://www.toronto.ca/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/96c2-City_Planning_2016_Census_Profile_2018_25Wards_Ward10.pdf This ward has a much lower proportion of kids than most of Toronto. The waterfront and this development will probably have an even smaller proportion. Maybe with time all these...
