    Toronto | Four Eleven King Condominiums | 149m | 45s | Great Gulf | KPMB

Not only are the rounded corners gone, but it looks like there's a ton of spandrel glass (yellow) too and waist-height (blue) mullions (Edit: due to there being windows) and top vents (red) along all facades. 😬

Rode by this afternoon - window wall has been installed on the south side of the second floor.

I love a cornice and all, but that weird kink at the corner is really bothering me 🤪

Here is a shot from 1932 from the Toronto Archives. You can see the Colonial Theatre from the image above in this photo.

Not to get off topic, but I think a large interactive art piece like the the Crown Fountain in Chicago with high canopy trees like the silver maples would really suit David Pecaut Square

Would this be in the flight path of St. Michael's?

Does anyone know what the purpose of those concrete "teeth" are along edge of the 4th floor are for? You see them a lot in construction.

    60 Bloor West Re-cladding (Morguard, 14s, B+H)

Eek! It was better with the original corner treatment. They should have just changed the window treatment and left the corners.

The last of the glass has been installed for the east Front moat!

    1377 Sheppard Av W (Gov't of Canada, 5s, DIALOG)

Hmmm the description does not match the address. The description is Allen Rd. and Sheppard Ave., but the address is at Keele St. and Sheppard Ave.

Toronto | Manulife Centre Podium and Streetscape Renewal | 10m | 2s | Manulife Real Estate | MdeAS Architects

If they used raw concrete panels along the top of the podium instead of the white metal sheeting, it would tie in better with the original structure.

    Toronto | 55C: 55 Charles Condos | 159m | 48s | MOD Developments | architectsAlliance

Between this, Casa, Casa II, Casa III, it seems the theme for this stretch of Charles is to have large rectangular wall of glass at street level.

I hope the spotlights are programmable, so they have the option to change colours for special occasions.

    Toronto | CIBC SQUARE | 241m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

I wonder why they chose to go with spotlights verse LED strip lighting.

    Toronto | The HUB | 258m | 57s | Oxford Properties | Rogers Stirk Harbour

The colour scheme of the lobby elevator banks reminds me of the Microsoft Windows logo. Would be a perfect HQ for them.

    Toronto | 330 Richmond | 94m | 27s | Greenpark | Core Architects

They could have created a interesting effect using brightly coloured balcony glass, sort of like a Piet Mondrian. It would be campy and playful - something I would like to see more of in the entertainment district. At least something other than the bland albeit high-quality grey balcony glass...

    Toronto | Stanley Condominiums | 138m | 41s | Tribute Communities | Core Architects

I think the radius of the corners are large enough that the flat balcony glass won't stand out - at least when it's in the shade.

    Toronto | Nobu Residences Toronto | 157m | 45s | Madison Group | Teeple Architects

Architectural Plans (PDF) from the development application. There will be 6 underground levels across the whole site - so it looks like this will be used as a staging platform during excavation.
