FYI looked into it this AM because I was curious - the Architect of Record is IBI - not currently in the db. Was assuming it was G+C - this building's massing and materials approach is virtually identical to The Taylor at King/Spadina.

I actually tried once - It was easier for construction to bury the lines and use fly forms on the lower levels of the building. Toronto Hydro wouldn't let us even if we paid them for it. They wont allow only one segment of a line to be buried unless the entire length of the line is buried...

My guess is this is a decision that will ultimately be made by the lenders, under the advice of the receiver and Tridel. They're probably waiting to see where the market is closer to completion.
