    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I know. So many photos I’m seeing in this thread have some sort of “Kotsy” tag. It’s out of control.

    The Coming Disruption of Transport

You think it’s just transit riders? There’s been a demonstrative decline in driver etiquette and safety.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Yeah. There isn’t an easy way to get from Milton to the airport either. A connection at Bramalea also gets you a direct bus to Pearson Airport or to Humber College.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

The Ministry of Health building is almost completely vacant now. It housed the public health labs that are now at MaRS.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I love it when it’s bad news, everyone reverts to calling it the Hurontario Line

In the meantime, the Milton/Lisgar/Meadowvale branches of the 21 should probably go to Bramalea GO via Highway 407.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Martin Grove would have been one of the few places where jughandles would have made good sense in Toronto

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Very true. Jughandles are popular in New Jersey, which has some of the most pedestrian hostile suburban roads I’ve ever encountered. They can be useful in certain circumstances, but definitely not in an area that will see dense mixed use development. A better option would be to have drivers use...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Exactly. We frown upon non sequitur posts, bitter arguments and tangents that go way beyond the original point, but we certainly allow some discussion on related things provided they stay within bounds.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

My top five intersections for eliminating left turns are: - Bathurst and Dundas, especially eastbound. - Spadina and Queen - Spadina and Dundas - Spadina and College - Queen and Dufferin It’s a bit trickier for downtown streets, but whenever a left turn for drivers is deemed necessary...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

It’s interesting how that area became a major transfer point between GO, Miway, and Brampton Transit buses. The area is legitimately a major employment area; a small dedicated bus terminal with easy access from Mississauga Road and the 401 might make sense, because the various bus stops are all...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

It’s kind of amazing how slow the 31 bus between Guelph and Mount Pleasant is. A Guelph-Guelph U-Bramalea-Hwy 407 route makes so much sense.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I wasn't expecting much, but I was really hoping for proper weekend service on bus route 17 between Waterloo, Guelph, Aldershot, and Hamilton. That's disappointing. I'd also love to see a seven-day/week express route between Bramalea and Guelph.

    Brampton Peel Memorial Hospital | 73.14m | 12s | Infrastructure ON | HOK

I went by recently to see what was being done since that staged "groundbreaking." Right now, there's a temporary new roadway being built between the main entrance and John Street in the middle of the empty dirt area to support the actual construction of the 12-storey tower that will be to the...

    Intercity Bus Services

It's really unfortunate, however, that there's nothing being done to fix the Quebec-New Brunswick gap. Maritime Bus isn't even allowed to enter Quebec anymore to connect with Orleans Express at Rimouski.

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

Yeah, the gas prices at the First Nations along the Highway 69/400 corridor aren’t quite as appealing now that the consumer carbon tax is gone and that gas stations in Parry Sound have dropped their prices somewhat to stay competitive. Furthermore, despite their large size and considerable...

    Brampton Shoppers World Brampton | 136.04m | 42s | RioCan | BDP Quadrangle + Kirkor

First you said it was a certain thing, now you’re speculating. Shoppers World had two supermarkets in the 1980s and early 1990s: Food City on the south end (later Price Chopper and then Oceans) and Dominon/A&P on the north end. The A&P closed in the early 1990s and was repurposed several...

    Brampton Shoppers World Brampton | 136.04m | 42s | RioCan | BDP Quadrangle + Kirkor

Shoppers Drug Mart? It’s actually the other way around! Koffler’s pharmacy at Shoppers World Danforth (a Peel-Elder property, which developed the three Shoppers World mall as well as Brampton’s Peel Village subdivisions) was named for the mall. The old Ford plant at Danforth and Victoria Park...
