GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

What I find interesting is that has been some significant land costs already spent on this project. Metrolinx currently owns lands at the proposed Bowmanville and Courtice stations as well as the whole expensive process they undertook to expropriate the former Knob Hill Farms property in...

As the tower rises, and your renderings reflect that, maybe place the port-a-potty in some new location in each update, then there can be a little game of find the port-a-potty for the duration of the construction. ;)

I assume there are some routes due to low bridges/hydro wires or other obstacles that will just not allow double Decker buses no matter how many are available in the fleet.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

As a GO Transit employee, I sell PRESTO cards frequently. In order to change the concession from Adult (the default concession) to either Child, Student or Senior, we need to input a Birth date. The PRESTO card will then revert to the default Adult Concession upon the expired time, ie Child...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I'm not going to fully defend the PC's, but I think some of the re-evaluating that they are imposing on Metrolinx for new builds and station redevelopments is to eliminate some of these Taj Mahal stations that were being built under the previous administration.

I believe the Province is now having Metrolinx incorporate developments into new station builds. For example building joint condo and station like what is happening with the Mimico redevelopment.

There is a grocery store in Port Perry where I grew up that was an IGA in my early years. The IGA eventually became a Sobeys and currently is a Foodland. Many people in Port Perry, including myself still refer to the store as the IGA.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

They assigned the number 418 to the connector highway near Courtice and Bowmanville, even though provincial highway 18 is(was) between Windsor and Leamington.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

I was wondering how they were going to accomplish this conversion of the Taunton Rd interchange. I was thinking possibly (judging from state of completion of the 407 and the 418) that they may open the 407 completely to 35/115, then close the 418 to complete the construction of it along with the...

Roads: Highway 401 Widening - Highway 8 to Highway 410 (MTO, U/C, Planned)

The other day I drove to Barrie and joined the 400 at Bradford. I noticed several new bridges that are now double wide span from the current 400 lanes. to me it looks like a major widening is in the cards...

    VIA Rail

VIA in the past had single ticketing agreements with Bus transportation providers. I once had VIA tickets to go to Charlottetown and it included the bus connection from Moncton, to Charlottetown. I also remember bus connections VIA offered from Coburg to Peterborough and Saskatoon to Prince Albert.
