I guess we won't be seeing anything new about this line untill it's actually complete. Plenty of stations we actually haven't seen below ground but doubt we'll get any new insight on that

But why, what purpose would that serve?

I mean starting station excavation before tunnelling should help, and the amount of elevated work should also make for speedier construction. But like everyone else, it's fair to be skeptical.

It has to operate in the snow regardless, so I don't see why they would object to opening the line in the winter, winter 2025 is gonna happen regardless, if it can open winter 2024 then open it. You'd actually get some good will from transit riders happy to have a new line in the middle of winter

I saw train testing going on along Eglinton today. Today was the first time I noticed the next train monitors had Terminus locations and specific time for the next train arrival information.

I don't think they're going to divert to the lakeshore line. Wouldn't that be another cost by tapping on the go? I'm an advocate for the LRT because of the reliability over busses, especially at night time. The frequency should offset the longer trip compared to RapidTO if that's even the case...

The Finch LRT looks way better than the Crosstown LRT. Why wouldn't they just match both lines. It's a similar look to what they're doing to all the go stations. Might as well unify everything, as far as the above ground stations are concerned

I guess the plan was to bring it to STC all along then. I'm okay with that if the proposed EELRT gets extended to Agincourt. They definitely should make the STC stop elevated. Definitely do cut & cover, the roads will be a mess regardless.

Once the Ontario line is completed and this Sheppard line is completed, then we would almost be done everything I envision for Train/Team transit in Toronto. The last major project would be extending the eastern part of Ontario line north to Don Mills or beyond, & the western part of the Ontario...
