    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

The FAO projected to spend less; below from the Economic Budget Outlook. I think i overheard in a recent podcast that the province is sitting on a pile of cash. I'm not too versed in budgets but thought I'd share:

    Durham Region Transit / Pulse

Agreed, there is more money needed to achieve... Another interesting couple of graphs I came across in the agenda shows the lack of funding (I wonder why they dont have update numbers given their push for more money lately...) They claim large service area + low density are also factors...

    Pickering Pickering City Centre (Block 1) | ?m | 55s | CentreCourt | Diamond Schmitt

Saw this from the durham transit executive.... Are we starting to see shovels in the ground for this soon?

    Durham Region Transit / Pulse

Some updates in the executive committee agenda are up. Aside from the usual capacity issues (not enough service) and on time performance issues (traffic), there are a few noteworthy items. First, it's official starting Jun 24, the City of Pickering is partering to provide service to the...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

Random thought today... Saw something I've never seen in my life, a crew using water truck and leaf blower to clean sidewalks and gutter of a bridge over the 401 (liverpool Rd). Is this typical maintenance for 401 bridges? I've never seen this before and maybe thought it was an MTO thing...

Maybe they should use this on management. I'll see my way out...

    West Scarborough Railpath | Conceptual

I realized this after I posted and striked it out... Probably before you were drafting the reply. My point was really, if crossing st clair is such an issue preventing further work effort, then perhaps, as a temporary solution to have signage to direct through residential onto warden and then to...

    West Scarborough Railpath | Conceptual

Having ridden along Taylor-Massey/st clair ravine trails quite a bit, I was curious about the significant challenges, and might as well share... Slopes approaching st clair from the east: Looking west near st clair/existing trail: The unused bridge span for transit expansion? Is anyone...

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

Am I right in reading it took almost 10 years to put up 225 signs (assuming completed in '19)? Further down on this page... ... I don't think there is any integration between these systems. I think it's safe to say PATH and Metrolinx wayfinding (particularily at Union Station) is quite poor...

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

I don't have access to view the article, I find that list is a bit lackluster. There are much better small things that apply city wide that I think could be investigated, off the top of my head: overfilled garbage increases in graffiti litter along highways Patchwork solutions (e.g. Paving...

And $25 dollar rooms. Now they nickel and dime; charge you for wifi.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

But still to be built in the short term? I'm just trying to understand why put items that aren't going to be built in the near term on a map with this title?

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Am I reading approved for future implementation as being furthest away from constructed? That is, we approved it but we still need to study or design, or is it the other way around and simply lack funding?

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

They do have a list of sorts... It is not as simple as maintaining said list, but about dealing with a multitude of changes and practices that are taught abroad at all institutions. These aren't static entities... Maybe we should look at speeding up the process and not focus on waiving...

If you ever make it out, go to the food court and look way up. Not hard to miss. It's really the colour temperature they chose for these lights. They are quite harsh, I'd estimate over 5 or 6000k. They do not match the rest of the warm lighting.

Personally the carpet is fine the way they layed it out. I believe they replace it quite often (it looks to have been recently replaced this spring). I'd rather they repaint and retile. There are sections of ceiling that show clear signs of leaks, stains and broken tiles throughout. Also get rid...

    Metrolinx: Other Items (catch all)

Following up from the May 8th meeting: Sadly this project is going to take well over 10 years...for a BRT. My understanding is that funding is the main issue, yet we are still at least 5 years away from any construction for segments not mentioned above. Here are some segments I thought merit...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

This is the world we live in (unfortunately): It would be nice if people here waited until the line was actually opened and they had a chance to actually observe its operations rather than making quick value judgements based on short Twitter clips.

    GTHA Transit Fare Integration

With only roughly 2.5% using it at the moment on Android, maybe er get another 3 to 4 percent an iOS assuming a 40/60 split Android/iOS. I would have though the number would be much higher considering we're pretty contactless society (I saw studies indicating over 40 percent use mobile wallets)...
