    Blue Jays

I think they have a fairly wide window open, and will for some time. Pitching should be better this year, and they do have some up-and-coming talent like Moreno to plugin to the lineup. Not sure who the better bet is between Gausman and Ray. It's close. Overall though, Gausman costs slightly...

    Toronto 328 Bloor West | 114.92m | 37s | First Capital | BDP Quadrangle

A restaurtant is a good idea - it's more how the building meets the street and connects to the intimate chracter of the area.

I like the tower and ribbon pattern. However, this seems like another example of a great proposal for the wrong location. Another giant glass atrium isn't going to be an improvement from a street-level perspective. I'm not sure why local developers have such a difficult time creating intimate...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I'd add that it's a nearly 19km transit line, with at least half of it underground. It's not like they were building a ROW on St Clair.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The point was that the same thing that are cited as benefits for the Ontario Line are being completely ignored for the Crosstown. "Capacity: The original post didn't even mention capacity. This is just putting words in others' mouths. The only things that should dictate capacity are demand and...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

I am also curious to see the reasoning behind this. Since when is 15,000 pphpd "not that much"??

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

You seemed to contradict yourself in the Crosstown LRT thread: "This is the problem, just because the density decreases doesn't mean the speed and quality should decrease - quite the opposite - the low density areas are where you should have less stops so you can actually go fast and get to . ...

Red brick? Probably not. Asphalt? Almost definitely ;)

The Panel was very impressed with the design of the building, describing it as "seductive," "enticing," "beautiful," and "ambitious." Can't disagree. I wonder if that's how they described the Waterfront Innovation Centre. :p

    Toronto Rogers Centre Renovations | ?m | ?s | Toronto Blue Jays | Populous

I disagree. Rogers has a vested interested in fielding a winning team. They certainly haven't been shy when it comes to spending. An individual owner might seem nice on paper, but that can be just as bad (I'd argue even worse in some cases) than a corporate owner that has checks and balances...

I agree. I think it just speaks to the disconnect @nfitz mentioned.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Early on, seamless cross-platform transfers were one of the biggest selling points of this line, and why it made sense for it to share the GO corridor above ground. If what we're seeing now was initially proposed then I think our reactions would've been different. Perhaps it was the plan all...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

The Golden Mile developments will not make it as dense as the urban core. This line is more than able to handle density increases along this corridor well past our lifetimes - especially with other upcoming lines and expansions. I think people are drastically underestimating how much capacity...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Eglinton & Victoria Park is not the urban core.

I'd also add that if the plans they have in place for increased density come to fruition, people will be grateful for those extra stops.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

The idea that this isn't high quality is baffling to me. It's a relatively small portion of the system in a relatively low density area...and it'll be connected to at least two subway at each end of the above ground portion. There's already a subway extension going directly to STC.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Yeah that never happens. Why would they even consider building bad LRT's?! Ever?

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

People love to complain. Ultimately this is going to be a boon to the area, especially as density increases and there's a downtown connection implemented at the Science Centre.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

True. For some reason we think it's a great idea to build a subway extension to one of those places. :p I would've had no problem with an elevated line here, but I understand why they decided to build a street level solution. A little surprising people still have so much of a problem with it...
