I agree, taking advantage of a ROW that already exists to build above ground makes a lot of sense. At this point though, they're going to go under ground and that isn't likely to change. I just wish they'd apply the same standards to all projects.

This is where the argument against burying it falls apart. The cost is relatively low compared to other projects (I believe it's at least $2 billion just to bury the EWLRT) and one could argue the benefit of keeping the GO corridor available for GO expansion has it's own significant value.

Agreed. Given the development they're planning it'll be a great fit for the area. And at 6.5km you're never more than 3.5km away from a subway (once the OL is done).

I think this group is focused on a particular issue though. In that context the name makes sense.
