    Hamilton Hamilton Line B LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I think there's possible multiple outcomes, and one of my predictions likely rings true. (sigh) On RaiseTheHammer: http://raisethehammer.org/article/3721/councillor_nann:_reject_lrt_cancellation_ask_feds_for_funding

    Hamilton Hamilton Line B LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Short story prediction: Newspaper Headlines are going to toot cancellation of LRT Long story prediction: Cons are going to inflate the value, include operating costs instead of just capital, and fluff the number to make it more overrun looking to blame the liberals and try to cancel the LRT...

    Hamilton Hamilton Line B LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

My view: It ain't good news, but while it's definitely higher than $1B, they are trying to exaggerate the value -- throwing in the 30 year operating costs plus a lot of other frills not included in the original $1B -- as Cons excuse to try to blame the Liberals. The question is what politics...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Yes, it did. With some issues for transit conmectivity to Niagara Falls. The old GO bus location (Nash) was much better for people travelling by transit. The station is not well-optimized for local connectivity yet. It would be better if B-LINE bus (and future LRT) was extended from...

    Hamilton Hamilton Line B LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Also a new gold nugget.... The A-Line might be upgraded to LRT eventually? It does suggest BRT Initially, but it mentions LRT.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

In a document where positive pedestrian-friendly Hamilton LRT modifications were made, is a GO-station-related nugget that has a slight but unsurprising disappointment: Hamilton Confederation GO station is not intended to begin operations till 2022-2023. From Hamilton City Hall meeting PDF...

    Hamilton Hamilton Line B LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Okay, I did my usual Sherlock Holmes to hunt down the original public PDFs. Here's the Hamilton General Issues Committe Meeting. Section 9.2, Hamilton Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project Update. Clickable direct links: 1.9.2 PED19100(a).pdf 2.9.2 PED19100(a) - Appendix A.pdf 3.9.2 -...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Isn't the $10 Sunday special only in winter, where ridership is abysmal anyway? This is the first year that they've made the weekend Niagara trains year-round. I'm not sure there's such a thing as a full winter weekend Niagara GO train -- they've introduced the service well before...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Ya, they mortgaged the timeline to buy Ontario Line and other priority projects ? But, the bottom line -- RER is not cancelled, it's just re-branded and re-timelined. (aka "optimized", simultaneously better AND worse.) Credit where credit due, it ain't Harris 1990s ????? GO's still happening...

Here you go. Page 66 of Full Business case. That's the Ford "GO Expansion" time window of Wynne's "GO RER" 2024-2025 timeline.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

AFAIK, one is track is currently funded between now and mid-2020s -- ultimately, a Metrolinx dedicated track all the way to Lewis Yard. It's my understanding the capacity to have two added tracks is the long term plan. If anyone would like to correct me on timing & track count... the plans...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Nontheless, Woodbine racetrack grounds is also potential prime development land, as it may not forever be 100% purely Woodbine racetrack grounds — there is sufficient surplus lands to make more multipurpose while still keeping portions to its legacy. It (I believe) one of GTAA multiple options...

Pics of new bridge spans installed at Confederation GO station above Centennial Parkway. That means four tracks will be up and running when Confederation GO begins accepting trains.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Very quiet mentions (in some Metrolinx documents) indicates 2028 for GO Expansion. They're hard to find, not the same tooted intensity as 2025, but the number 2028 is there.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

    Alas, ? Fresh paint ain't protected ? ? Where's the token knockdown stick ? ? Where's the sole Armadillo bump ? ? Where's the symbollic buffer zone ? /wishing for concrete-curbs, raised-paths & knockdown-forests for Christmas (maybe in year 2120).

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Presenting, a song of sorry Toronto bike noninfrastructure. Please Sing-Along ? Paint ? Ain't ? Bike ? Infrastructure ? P.S. Toronto says we promise pretty-please to repaint the bike line, only after it's about 99.44% faded, only after a few winterfuls of snowplows.

Gotcha. Yes, the morning inbound train from Niagara Falls. I edited my post above for other-reader-educating clarity.

    VIA Rail

Define "one commuter train". I know you meant the GO service itself, but mathematically, it's confusing for readers. ;) 1 service (GO) 2 route branches (Downtown GO vs West Harbour GO) 9 boardable trains per day 16 scheduled trains per day (arriving and/or departing) Of the 2 commuter train...

    VIA Rail

For the routing and railfan info perhaps! Early deets, deets, deets, deets. ;) But for the "IT IS HAPPENING! YAY!" decision, that's 2021 ?
